"Mmmmm....five more minutes..." number I said, and Chloe snorted. But the girl did get up without additional prodding. Absently, Chloe wondered if their numeral designations were arbitrary or deliberate. Glancing around again, it looked like everyone at last was awake. Unfortunately, that meant that nine other people were all trying to voice their opinions on everything at the same time. "I don't think that's a good idea!" One girl shouted over the racket, and Chloe's attention flew to her. Number VI. "What if we get hurt o...or what if someone or even something is waiting for us out there? I think we better stay here, it's a better idea!" She sniffed. "I'm scared..." The girl couldn't have been older than eighteen. God. Chloe took advantage of the lull her outburst had created in the conversation. "Now that everyone's awake," she said to the group, "this would probably be a good time for all of us to take a deep breath and get organized instead of all this...noise."
Chloe looked up from number I to number IV in surprise. She'd seen that Cerdic and number V had Keyblades of their own, so she'd assumed--foolishly, she now felt--that the rest of the room's occupants had had them, too. She faltered, trying to decide how much was safe to tell him--world order and all that--and how much she could actually articulate about it. "...It's called a Keyblade," she said haltingly. "It's..." Oh, he'd probably seen her summon it and had definitely seen her cast that Fire; what was the harm in just saying it? "...It's a magical weapon that can be used to fight creatures of darkness." She figured the simple explanation would likely suffice. With that out of the way, she looked to the other kid who had spoken up--noting the VIII pinned to their shirt--then to number VII--Alder, apparently? "You two know each other?" she asked.
YOU'RE ALIVE I MISSED YOU
double the birthdays DOUBLE THE PARTY
Chloe's expression melted from hard and fierce to exasperated and disgusted as the other man--Cerdic--kept talking. Instead of dismissing her Keyblade, she pointed it towards the ceiling and ignited a small Fire at its tip as a makeshift torch. In the increased light, she could see now that there were considerably more people in this cold room than she'd expected. She did a quick headcount--ten, including herself. Four were still unconscious, including the man she'd been trying to wake up when Cerdic had interrupted her. In the middle of the room was a strange machine. She didn't know a lot about mechanics, but anyone could see that whatever it was, it was ruined now. Two other boys had spoken up--one with white hair, one with brown--voicing their own curiosity. Both of them made reference to their own pins--IV and V. "Looks like all of us have these number pins, then," she noted, pointing to her own III. "Doesn't seem like any of us know how they--or we--got here, though." "Look, I don't know what's going on," Cerdic said, "but I am not too keen on sticking around to find out." She hated it, but Chloe had to agree with the sentiment. Holding her Keyblade aloft, she looked around the room, searching for signs of an exit. She could see darkness swirling through the air, sending a chill up her spine, but it seemed to all be drifting in one direction. "See that?" she said, her finger following the purples and blacks. "That could be something. But let's make sure everyone's awake and okay first." She turned around, meaning to crouch back down to arouse number VII, but he had already gotten up and started inspecting the wrecked machine. "Whatever this was, it's not working again anytime soon," he said. "That's good enough for me," Chloe shrugged. Whatever the machine had been, she felt distinctly uncomfortable around it. She headed to the nearest prone body and crouched down. This one was number I. She gently shook the blonde girl's shoulder. "Wake up," she said. "Are you okay?"

Chloe's head jerked up at the disembodied sound, and her grip on her Keyblade tightened. But the sound died down, and nothing happened, so she returned to trying to rouse the man--VII--from unconsciousness. "What is going on? I want answers now!" This time Chloe was on her feet in a flash, drawn to her full height, her Keyblade pointed straight in the direction the voice had come from. In the dim light, the source of the words appeared to be another man. She looked him up and down as best she could; he was dressed rather extravagantly in white, matching his pale skin and contrasting his thick dark hair. In his hand, a Keyblade. Pinned to his jacket, another numeral--X. She really didn't want to look at her own jacket. III. The alarms in her head were blaring now. Was I lured into a trap? "Get in line," she told the man. "Who are you?" Despite her words, her tone and her still-raised Keyblade did not imply a question.
Chloe stirred. Sluggishly she registered the cold floor she lay on, and a moment later remembered she had no recollection of setting down to sleep on such a surface...did she? She sat up, the sleep dissipating from her mind, and looked around. How did I get here? Her memories flitted through her mind in fragments, too small and isolated to draw coherence from. None of her memories featured her surroundings, either--from what little she could make out in the darkness, anyway. She stood and held out her hand, and in a flash, Glimpse of Darkness was in her hand. It wasn't much, but the Keyblade emitted a soft, warm glow, which helped her see just a little bit more. Warily she stepped forward--then stopped mid-step, her foot over an arm. She crouched down, her Keyblade following the arm until it met a body (Thank goodness). Its dim light caught and reflected on something--a pin with the numeral VII. She reached for the man's shoulder with her free hand and shook it. "Hey, wake up," she said, quiet but firm. "Are you all right?"
Music and video games! I generally try to block out any really weird ones lol. Offhand? Um, maybe Octopus' Garden. I know a little bit of Spanish. You'd think after taking six years of it I'd have retained a lot more... orz LET KAIRI BE A CHARACTER AND NOT JUST A PLOT DEVICE. ...please ...good question??? maybe axel-chanviii or Marushi or Cat??? IT'S BEEN OVER SIX YEARS Not bad~ DO YOU REALIZE HOW HARD OF A QUESTION THIS IS??? ...Right now I'm watching the Little Witch Academia TV series and it's a delight. Having played only three, I'm gonna go with Dream Drop Distance; contrived plot devices aside, it was a blast to play. Umm...I'm gonna go with Riku! Adorable and hard-working and friendly! and maybe a little too obsessed with axel and zack who both die The only manga I've read all the way through is Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and it was phenomenal. I've not been so great this week... orz Chaotic Good :eogCoy: (and i HATE YOU FOR IT SO MUCH; YOU ARE AN OFFENSE, A BLIGHT TO MY LAWFUL GOOD EYES) (i still love u tho) I don't think I had any especially weird thoughts today, actually. Pizza! SO MANY TOPPING OPTIONS, SO LITTLE SURFACE AREA Hmm... Bob's Burgers, but that's only because I started watching it recently. Monster Hunter. Everyone's always like "It's one of the best series on the 3DS!!" but I tried the demos for 3 and 4 and they just didn't do it for me. HEART IS THE MOST ADORABLE AND HARD-WORKING PERSON I'VE EVER SEEN! HER AFFINITY FOR DEAD VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS WITH SPIKY HAIR IS ONLY SLIGHTLY ALARMING, BUT HAS NO NEGATIVE BEARING ON HER CHARM! Super chill and nice! and not on the forum often enough :c The power to have whatever power I want at any given moment. :> Both! Something funny and original and heartfelt with lots and lots of in-jokes from KHV history. Sure, it's been okay. Dusk! NAP. Beloved music composer for movies and TV shows and video games. (Award-winning would be nice, too. :> ) Tired, gay, imaginative. ...Smell. I bet I could take Heart. Probably Stardust, too, though it wouldn't be worth the emotional suffering it would take. Root beer! Sora/Riku/Kairi, easy. Hmm...I love it dearly, but of the three I've played, I'm gonna say Re:coded. Fine. NEVER (jk but idk Nintendo is my priority when it comes to gaming, though I absolutely wouldn't mind a PS4) NO. Horror and disaster are the two genres I am worst at handling. Usually McDonald's. Nope.
Name: Chloe Age: 21 Gender: Female Appearance: kinda like this except taller and buffer and a less smiley resting face Rank: III Keyblade: Glimpse of Darkness Homeworld: Shimmering Meadows Personality: Chloe prefers to keep to herself, unless she really likes someone, in which case she'll...still be quiet, but around them. She'll politely engage in conversation if someone engages her first. She's not afraid to speak up when she's not cool with something, though, or to throw down if necessary. Her mind is not changed easily when she's decided on something, especially since she spends so much time in her head coming to a decision. Likes: Personal space, gardening, constellations Dislikes: Showboating, unfinished work, anything that eats her plants Other: Give her a succulent and you will earn her love forever.

It's new in that it's making its debut in KH3, but it's been Sora's Keyblade in a good portion of the KH3 advertising so far.
Oh, absolutely! I think you would be hard-pressed to find any person who only exhibited traits corresponding to a single Hogwarts house! People are complex and messy like that. Even Dumbledore wondered if students were sorted too soon, after all.
I definitely agree that Lily never forgave Snape--the "fact" you're citing is actually 100% made-up, in the same vein as "ZOMG DID U GUYS KNO THAT NAGINI IS THE SNAKE HARRY SET FREE FROM THE ZOO" and "DON'T 4GET JKR PROMISED EVANNA LYNCH SHE COULD PLAY LUNA IN THE MOVIES IF SHE BEAT HER ANOREXIA". :b I disagree in part with your analysis of Hermione, though--I think the thing about her is that she sees everyone's carelessness except her own. We see throughout the series that Hermione is a pretty prideful person, and that pride prevents her from realizing that she's not so different from her friends after all. Your example of her actions on behalf of the house elves are one instance, I believe, not of Hermione's cunning, but of her pride and brashness. Her friends tell her and the house elves tell her that she's offending the house elves by trying to free them, but no, that's ridiculous, of course they want to be free, they just can't see it! Harry notes in his internal monologue that her attempts at hiding clothes for them to accidentally pick up are entirely transparent, too. With regards to the Felix Felicis and Ron's Quidditch performance, that plot was actually Harry's, and Hermione actively tried to prevent him from doing it because she didn't know what he was doing. I will agree that Hermione can be cunning, like with your example of luring Umbridge into the Forbidden Forest, but I'd posit that on-the-fly cunning isn't all that far removed from reckless improvisation. I will agree that Hermione is definitely ambitious, though, as shown, like you said, with her academic career and her desire to be a force for change.
Nothing like that has been announced. The nearest thing that's been announced is that--as usual--we're not getting a Final Fantasy world.
