How would you rework Trishula's effect than without while making sure it plays nicely with the game's rules and not end up making the monster something else completely? Why shouldn't there be effects that are one-time uses only? Would you prefer if the monster could only be summoned once? I'd be ok with that too, but to ban the card completely just because people were exploiting the effect in unintended ways seems more foolish than either of the remedies I put forth. And what? No point in pulling it out of the graveyard? When did 2700 ATK or a level 9 Dragon Monster become useless? You can bring it back to the field for an Xyz Summon, or a Ritual Summon, or just use it on its own for offensive/defensive purposes, or use it for a variety of other plots. I really just don't get your argument :\
Oh, I am, but I still like to be critical of a game no matter the size of the group who made it.
I shouldn't be surprised but I still am a little bit. Flip-Effect Monsters + Stall Spells and Traps + Hand Traps (like Effect Veiler) I've done it a few times, but that was before Xyz were nearly as popular as they are now.
I agree with you up until you insinuate tumblr is cool.
I disagree; Trishula isn't that much better than other level ~8 monsters in terms of strength after its initial Synchro Summon effect. The only reason it got banned was from people exploiting it. How is limiting its power taking away creativity?
Define "nowadays" first.
Not for me. I'd much, much rather have strong gameplay and world design than a well-written story, but I just wish it wasn't so hard to have all of that together. Dude, even from not playing Yugioh for almost a year, I can tell you that Dark Magician of Chaos is hella broken. I can think up numerous deck variants that would be recycling its effects and wiping the enemy deck out. What pisses me off is that Trishula was banned when it could have been fixed by one sentence (and this works for many banned cards, including Dark Magician of Chaos:) "This monster's effect can only be used by a duelist once per duel."
When I was still playing, I never really had an issue, though I believe it goes off of the Japanese rules which differ slightly from the U.S. rules? Can't remember perfectly lol. Dueling Network, I got so damn tired of people cheating, or myself forgetting something that could have won me a duel.
But...YGOPro exists. And it prevents you from making any mistakes.
I've also heard that the plot has some very predictable twists that weren't executed well, but I haven't played the game yet so I can't quite judge.
I am now Silver III in legolegenz.
WHY ARE ALL THESE GOOD SALES HAPPENING AT THE SAME TIME. I JUST HAD TO PAY MORE OF MY TUITION. MY WALLET.
Oh cool :> Just message me then (and sorry for not getting you as a friend yet on PS4, I don't really use that system)
Got another one running for this weekend. Games like Red Dead Redemption, Mortal Kombat (2011), Bioshock, and Guacamelee for $5 each.
Mainly, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and maybe Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. My brother also wants to pick up Armored Core: Verdict Day.
I just want to be able to buy some of the Golden Week games at the cheaper price ._.
Notice I didn't say that Dragon Ball Z wasn't like that. However, while it was mainly dudes punching other dudes really hard, it at least saw Gohan change from a crybaby who obeyed his mom and ran from fights into the greatest un-fused warrior in the series who avenges Android 16, kill Cell when his own father couldn't, and stand his ground against Super Buu with Gotenks and Piccolo absorbed. GT has a few good moments, like I thought fighting the dragons was pretty cool (though I disliked most of their designs, nitpicking o'course,) but DBZ is my preferred series because of the transformation we see Gohan go through and (to me) the more memorable moments and villains too.
Because when people say "GT stands for Goku Time" THEY AIN'T KIDDIN. Because Pan was seriously annoying and Trunks was relegated to a lame sidekick instead of being half as interesting as Terminator-esque Future Trunks (hey, not as annoying as Kid Trunks at least) Because there are a bunch of consistency issues, like why Gohan (the strongest solo character in DBZ) became such as worthless character, and Vegeta growing a mustache and getting a haircut. Because of the general stylistic attitude, specifically with BLACK DRAGON BALLS and SUPER SAIYAN 4 WITH BLACK HAIR AND FURRRR (although I did like that they incorporated the Oozaru aspect back into the Saiyan lore) Because of the sudden decision that the Dragon Balls don't like being used so much. Because unlike how Dragon Ball was Goku's journey to become a great warrior, and how much of Dragon Ball Z was Gohan's journey to embrace his fighting potential and stand up for himself, GT seems to lack a focus on any specific focus on a character developing. Because of dat ending. BUT some of the villains were pretty interesting (especially Super 17,) and some of the fights were pretty damn cool (Gogeta yo,) and I liked the idea of exploring various planets around outer space, and yeah.
Uh...isn't the point of a forum to discuss? Hence the whole reason there are handy down things like "Reply" buttons?
No wonder bacon tastes so damn good.
