(angry nerd mode activated) An Avengers: Age of Ultron film adaption wherein Hank Pym did not create Ultron is a movie I'd much rather skip. No thanks.
Not obvious really, I've only watched the 1999 anime in its entirety. Of course, that was before the second anime was released; so watching the...
What I meant by that is Kurapika reads like an actual human being. Sasuke always fell kinda flat to me.
The question is, which anime? I would recommend the manga, certainly. He does go on hiatus an awful lot though, and for extended periods of...
Welcome. :-) it is an excellent film, the novel as well (rife with philosophical angst)
It also has the added bonus of being based on a novel by E.M. Forster, so y'know. If anyone asks, there's your excuse: it's based on a book by...
Hi, Nagisa. I'm not saying you should watch Maurice, but I am saying it's an excellent gay film set in Edwardian England and perhaps it would...
In school, reading during lectures. Daydreaming, the usual. Outside of class... There was an occasion wherein I accidentally insulted my mother's boss' teenage child. I inquired as to why she was so fat. The question itself was direct as could be, albeit the extremely negative reaction it garnered was certainly not intentional; it was not a part of my intent to bully her, it was genuine curiosity. She was my babysitter. I was an oblivious six year old kid. When she began to cry, I begun to cry as well. Oops. You'd have thought my mother'd have had my hide or gibbeted me for that bumbling act of stupidity, but I don't recall having received any sort of punishment whatsoever. If you have any embarrassing baby stories that are up to par, please do tell.

That's alright. I have begun reading the Wilbour translation. A direct french to anglais translation; oldest translation available. I must say,...
The entirety of this thread amuses me.

I must admit, rather bashfully, that I haven't been wholly caught up with Hunter x Hunter for some time now. He went on a hiatus, and then I...
"People speak sometimes about the ‘bestial’ cruelty of man, but that is terribly unjust and offensive to beasts, no animal could ever be so cruel as a man, so artfully, so artistically cruel."-- Fyodor Dostoyevsky "Never trust a warm bed, a happy life. Better to tear down the house yourself before someone beats you to it."-- Selina Kyle "Despereaux stood before the Mouse Council, and he realized that he was a different mouse than he had been the last time he faced them. He had been to the dungeon and back up out of it. He knew things that they would never know; what they thought of him, he realized, did not matter, not at all."-- The Tale of Despereaux by Kate Dicamillo
Spoiler In all seriousness though, I am rather indifferent towards the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman. Considering the sheer quantity of Batman-related films that Hollywood dishes out (he's far more popular than other members of the Justice League, you'll notice), Affleck could muck up the performance terribly; and still a long queue of actors would readily take over the cape and cowl. Affleck is a B-rate actor. When Ben Affleck performs, he performs as though he is Ben Affleck masquerading as his respective character. He can memorize lines fairly well, he can direct -- but there is a noticeable barrier between script and character. I was not impressed with Daredevil, and neither was Stan Lee. I'll withhold judgement till I see him on the big screen, however my expectations for his success are quite slim. Interestingly, I recall a post-Daredevil Ben Affleck declaring his disinterest in playing another superhero. Obviously he has had a change of heart since.

I am in Macedonia. Predictably. Whom did you hear that from? Yes, I understand the mild sense of trepidation. My standpoint is to take any...
