That's not how CoD goes. After Modern Warfare, Activision/Infinity Ward saw a gold mine, something for everyone. There shouldn't be a reason to change something that does incredibly well.

The Singleplayer campaign actually has more of a narrative, with an actual story. The campaign is brilliantly done too.

Also, dying every 10 seconds means that you're not that good at it, which goes back to "It's not for everyone." Some people like RPGs, a lot of people like CoD.
