I finished the patch, so now it's free from bugs and it doesn't require to download a new ISO. Story and the new Final Mix's stuff now are fully translated :)
Eheh I know :P, but I think that isn't too late for some fans like me. I'll work a lot to port this final mix version like an official version like Birth By Sleep Final Mix translation that I did in Italian.
Hi guys!
As someone knows, I'm trying to translate Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix in two languages. This little project will cover the entire game, including story, journal and some tutorials images.
The current state of the translation is: COMPLETE!
You can deactive debug screen pressing Screen button and display the menu pressing Note button. I know, the prx is a bit buggy but I update it every day (every stable build will publish on my website). I want to do a perfect ram editor for BBS =P
you can put the PRX elsewhere (for example I put them on root of memory stick) and you do add on game.txt this:
The editor isn't complete and it'a bit bugged (read the readme.txt on zip archive) and sometimes it crash with other games :S tomorrow I'll add a control of the game that shutdown the plugin if the game isn't BBS.
The AT3 files aren't compressed on BBSX archives because when the game load an music it does the music istantly or the game loads time will be veeeery slow! They are simply WAVE files but differently encoded (the SPU read natively the at3 for reads very fasts). This system hasn't hacked yet and you can't create or convert files to AT3 with loop or other things like this.
Uhm... wrong. My unpacker extract BBS0, BBS1, BBS2 and BBS3. A repacker? Maybe someday a repacker will be created =P
Soraoscuro has found the code that change the BGM but it does work only on worldmap. Maybe when you enter on a world, BBS allocate on memory an array that contain the current musics used from that world. For example if you go to Neverland will be this array that will be xxxx0D0Exx. When you are on field it change the index to 03 selecting the music 0D and when you see the enemies it change the index to 04 fading out the 03 index music and playing the 04 index music (in this case the 0E). An universal BGM mod will be VERY hard.
Maybe not, because me and the other people are more interested to have an untouched ISO and edit the game with temp codes.
I'm working also on a little project :P
Yes :) but is an ISO hack. Vanitas work a bit strange... His model load 4 textures: helmet, clothes, keyblade and a shared texture that contain the iron part of his helmet, but there are many clones of the first 3 textures. Oh, the textures from cutscenes (located at BBS0.DAT) are different from textures from battles, this will increase the difficulty to create an universal model swapper code. I'm working a bit on BBS0 data for search the indexing of textures to create a code but is very hard :\. Btw later I'll upload a program that switch Vanitas to Sentiment, you can select if swap clothes, keyblade or mask.
Oh, here it's a complete ability list used by Deck Command write by me:
