Dragons: I thought that everyone knew when Kairi’s heart went into Sora.
When Sora and Riku were sinking into the darkness.
Riku’s gone, but Sora goes to get Kairi.
Kairi had just, unconsciously, given her heart to Sora. That’s why she looks ‘sleepy’ and fades away, she just lost her heart.
Namine’ was created at the beginning of KH1, but because Kairi’s heart never touched The Darkness, Namine’ never gained Kairi’s memories.
Namine’ could manipulate the memories of Sora and those aligned with him because:
1. She is Kairi’s nobody. Kairi loves Sora.
2. Kairi’s/Namine’s heart is in Sora.
I thought this was a known, agreed upon fact of the game. *Sigh*

Thank you!
Dragons: Thank you DarKnight36! That’s the point that I’ve been trying to make.
Just because their hearts aren’t in their bodies, doesn’t mean that they’re severed from them. The hearts are still connected. It’s like a web made of people’s hearts, but Nobodies have fallen out of that web. And (as mentioned by DarKnight36) the souls still hang from the hearts.
*Takes a deep breath*
I don’t think that Demyx had emotions, just Roxas and Axel.
Roxas had a heart, or at least part of one, because he could feel. Does anyone deny that Roxas could feel genuine emotions? Supported by the fact that he couldn’t remember anything to fake?
If we agree on that, let’s move on.
Now Axel is tricky. He shared a deep friendship with Roxas. (Agree so far?)
I believe that the heart does not create emotions. The emotions create the heart. Lacking a heart may have contributed to the Organization’s lack of emotion, but that may have been the trip through darkness.
Look at Riku in KH1 for crying out loud.
I have some evidence to support my theory, and I’m going to give you a link to it.

I did a school project on this, so this is the real deal.
Here’s a summary:
In 2000 Peter Houghton faced death due to heart failure. To save his life, doctors used Jarvik 2000, a titanium pump to replace his heart’s left ventricle. The Jarvik 2000 uses an internal cable, which runs up his chest, out behind his ear, and is connected to an exterior battery pack. Normally the pump is only temporary until the user can get a heart transplant. Houghton is the longest-living person with the device, due to not getting a heart.
Though his heart “beatsâ€, Houghton claims that his emotions are muted. He wishes to bond with his children and great-grandchildren, but feels emotionally disconnected. "I have become less emotional, quite substantially less emotional," he said.
Emotions may be connected to the heart. Researchers have found that the heart does react differently to a range of emotions. For instance, when someone is angry or fearful the rhythm of the heart is chaotic. The chaotic heart rhythm activates a part of the brain that controls stimulation and excitement. But when people feel love or compassion the heart's rhythm is smooth. The slow rhythmic heart motion of love activates an area in the brain that allows you to feel calm and relaxed.
How’s that?
A real man, in the real world, with out a heart. May this change the way we all view Kingdom Hearts.
Now, I understand that a game is different from real life, but I do have a point.
I repeat: “It’s not the heart that creates the feeling of love, but the love itself in which creates the heart.â€
This is my favorite quote.
Just because the older, more experienced people/characters of KH said, “Nobodies can’t feel†doesn’t mean that they were right.
If we (the human race) believed everything that was said by the older ‘wise’ men, we’d still believe that the sun was the center of the universe.
Just because someone says that it’s true, doesn’t mean that it is.
Twilight: *Not Availiable* -
Dragons: Let’s start with the basics of Nobodies.
When a person gives into The Darkness in their hearts, their heart becomes a Heartless and their body becomes a Nobody.
A Nobody, the body of a person that fell into The Darkness, has many characteristics that separate them from Heartless.
The basic facts of… Nobodies:
Nobodies have coherent trains of thought.
Nobodies plan, acting towards a greater goal.
Nobodies do not have hearts.
Nobodies have memories; of emotions and who they were before they entered the darkness.
The basic facts of… Heartless:
Heartless do not have coherent trains of thought.
Heartless cannot plan; they act on instinct alone.
Heartless are hearts that have been swallowed by The Darkness.
Heartless do not have memories; said memories are lost almost immediately after becoming a Heartless.
When a person gives into The Darkness, their body and heart separate physically, but are still connected by a thread.
The heart, becoming a Heartless, is an incarnate of The Darkness itself. The Heartless gets, is, the heart.
Now, the body, the No-body, is a shadow of the person. The Nobody gets the memories.
An average person’s body disintegrates quickly after being swallowed by The Darkness, but someone just above average, some-body with a stronger heart, their body doesn’t fade as fast. It isn’t them, but it has as solid (or almost solid) mass; a dusk, or one of the other lesser- Nobodies. Having lost their human appearances, this person/Nobody has little to no connection with their heart at all.
The body of an exceptionally strong-hearted person, in The Darkness, would not corrode or wouldn’t corrode much; thus they would remain with features similar to their original. These beings, these greater- Nobodies, haven’t been as corroded by The Darkness as much as, say the dusks. The greater- Nobodies, Organization XIII, have stronger ties to their hearts; thus having the memories of who they originally were.
Except… For Roxas.
Roxas’s existence is entirely confusing.
(And don’t even get me started on Namine…)
He does not have the memories of Sora, because Sora wasn’t in the darkness long enough to lose all of them. He doesn’t remember much/anything.
(After Kairi brought Sora back from The Darkness, he told her about how he began to forget everything, even who he was.)
Yet he stands out, among the Nobodies, for being the most emotional.
Roxas came into existence when Sora released Kairi’s heart from inside of him with Soul Eater. (Please note that Sora’s heart was a Heartless up to this point.)
Sora’s body faded (fell into The Darkness), and Roxas was born.
While Sora was falling through The Darkness, Roxas was gaining Sora’s memories. Before Roxas could gain more than a sliver of Sora, Kairi knowingly gave her heart to Sora, thus creating Namine.
This should have created a Heartless, right?
Wrong.
Being one of the Princesses of Heart, Kairi doesn’t have any of The Darkness inside of her, she never could have a heartless, which are The Darkness inside of people’s hearts.
But what did that make Namine? Was she only half of a Nobody?
Basically… Yeah.
She didn’t have any Memories, because they remained with Kairi. And Kairi’s heart remained in Sora until the begging of KH2, when he was finally reunited with Roxas.
(If you’re now asking, “Then how come Kairi was unconscious during KH1?†I
tell you, “I don’t know.†Call it a plot-hole. Make up a reason. Maybe Kairi wasn’t strong enough then. Maybe Kairi hadn’t consciously taken control of her ‘powers’. Maybe she had a stronger connection afterwards. Maybe she split her heart in two, that way Sora could have half. That makes some sense… Hmmm.)
We know how Nobodies exist.
(Now I know that Nobodies aren’t supposed to exist, but they do exist. The go around kidnapping, killing, and making more Nobodies/Heartless. That’s a lot of ‘not existing’ that they’re doing.)
But how do Nobodies like Roxas and Namine exist?
The answer to that question is a simple one; it’s almost laughable how simple it is. I bet that my 9-year-old sister could tell you.
So how do Roxas & Namine, all Nobodies for that matter, exist?
Simple.
We don’t know.
Frustrating, isn’t it?
But honestly. It’s like trying to find the meaning of life.
You can look forever, but you will never, and I mean never, find the right answer.
And then there’s the fact that maybe there isn’t a right answer, maybe it’s just a large plot-hole that was left to raise the publicity.
I understand if you can’t accept my answer to the mystery of The Darkness, The Heartless, and The Nobodies.
It’s taken me a while to accept that I’m not going to find the answer, but at least I realized that. Of course, I’ll continue to debate and read other’s ideas; but I’ll remember that, no matter how confident they sound, they don’t know either.

No...
Dragons: ...No, I never thought about it before, but it makes sense.
Turtles survive by deflecting the blows from outside. And Goofy is a Defender, with his sheld and all.
Plus, like turtles, Goofy is an easy-going person/dog.
Twilight: *not avalible* -
Views...
Dragons: I say, "Yes, Sora was justified in killing the Organization."
Organization XIII was messing with the other worlds. They were destroing worlds, just to get enough hearts to build there own world. They should have been searching for their own hearts.
I personally think that Nobodies have the right to exist (no matter what DiZ says). They're people too. I wish that Sora didn't have to kill the Organization. One of the former members might have ralied all the lesser Nobodies to a cause that would help the worlds.
Twilight: *not avalible* -
...
Dragons: My favorites have to be...
-Roxas: He has a temper, but he still cares.
-Riku: He's wise. Xemnas said, "Why do you hate The Darkness?" Riku replied, "Because of who's lurking inside of it."
-Sora: He has a heart of gold. If a friend falls, he'll go on his hands and knees to ask if they're okay.
And just because I can; the people I hate are...
-Ansem the Wise/ DiZ: He thinks he knows everything. He created the heartless, thus tearing apart Sora, Riku, & Kairi.
-Xehonort + heartless/nobody: Need I explain?
-King Mickey: "We don't hate it (The Darkness). It's just kinda... Scary." What respectible king would answear with that?!
Twilight: *Not avalible* -
Well
Dragons: DiZ mentioned that if Sora met Roxas, he might get a heart of his own. Doesn't that mean that Nobodies can get hearts? -
Dragons: The ugly bald dude is Xehonort?! How'ed he get hair then?! Yes, 'Mr. Evil' is the short, prune guy.
The 'apprentice' seperated from 'Mr. Evil'. How? Are you sure 'Mr. Evil' is Xehonort? Or is the 'apprentice' Xehonort'? (I like 'Mr. Evil')
Sorry! Didn't see the 'Terra watching over the kids' video/trailer.
Twilight- Why are we replying to our own thing?! -
Not how we say it...
Dragons: I've always pronounced Demyx as Dee-mix. You Twi?
Twilight- Same here. -
Dragons: What I'm saying is that some Nobodies had emotions. Thus they weren't completely without hearts.
Roxas would get angry when asked, "Why do you have the keyblade."
Axel and Roxas were sitting on the clock tower in Twilight Town. Roxas... Phased out? And Axel said, "Good bye... Partner." A teardrop fell. Axel actully felt emotional pain! There is no reason for him to have faked being sad; nobody (Not intentional) was there to see.
I judge from what I've experienced. I can't experience not feeling. But I have experience pretending to feel something when I don't, and it's harder than it looks.
I watched Axel cry. I don't know about you, but I can't cry over something I can't feel. I cry when I'm sad or upset. You can't fake real tears.
Another thing...
Who said that Nobodies can't feel?! Ansem 'the Wise'? Xemnas?
Ansem admitted to being "ignorant about matters of the heart". Couldn't he be wrong?
And could Xemnas not have emotions, just because he cast them aside when he chose The Darkness?
(When Roxas was in the virtual Twilight Town doesn't count, because DiZ had rewritten his personality & memories.)
Twilight- Think people, please. If Nobodies couldn't feel emotion, Why did Axel get angry when Roxas left, Huh? Or Why did Roxas get upset when he found out about Sora? Think! -
O.O
Dragons: I never thought about that before... That makes sence. Sora can use two keyblades only when he combines with Donald, Goofy, or both... But you're missing something.
Explain Roxas's keyblades, Oathkeeper & Oblivion.
From the way I see it, Oathkeeper is a representaion of The Light. Oathkeeper was created when Kairi gave Sora her lucky charm.
Oblivion is The Darkness. Sora receaved Oblivion after returning Kairi's heart, so Oblivion was born with Roxas.
Roxas is his own soul. That became obvious when he stepped out of Sora to talk to Namine (KH2). He has his own thoughts.
So Oblivion is Roxas's soul. Oathkeeper is Sora's soul.
Make sense?
Riku's 'Way to the Dawn'. Everyone knows that dawn is the time when light emerges over darkness, so 'Way to the Dawn' is a fitting title for Riku's soul.
-_- Kairi's keyblade was still girly.
Twilight: Kairi's was way to girly. They could have used a better design too.
Riku's was my favorite. It was very fitting. -
Dragons: It depends. Roxas and Axel had emotions, that’s obvious. But does that mean they had hearts?
When Riku had just defeated Roxas, DiZ comes out a portal and says, “…. If Roxas were to meet Sora, maybe it would be different.â€
Okay, I can’t remember the whole line, but I caught the drift. DiZ basically meant that Roxas doesn’t have a heart, but if he met Sora, he might have a heart of his own.
Roxas was slowly pulling his heart together. What if that affected Axel as well?
“It’s not the heart that creates the feeling of love, but the love itself in which creates the heart.â€
Axel loved Roxas. Not as ‘couple’ love, but brotherly love. (The same love between Sora & Riku) Could that love have created a heart all his own?
Twilight: I believe Axel, when he met Roxas, slowly acquired the feelings to create the heart. Thus he wanted his best friend to stay. The slowly growing heart was giving him strength.
-
Dragons: From what I’ve heard. Ven, Terra, and Aqua are three of the four Chasers, or Keyblade Smiths. Yeah. They are the creators of the keyblades.
Four Chasers.
Two fell into darkness.
One returned to the light.
I bet Terra was the one that ‘returned to the light’. He reminds me of Riku. The strong, deep type who cares for his friends.
Ven, of course, looks exactly like Roxas. Coincidence? I think not. There’s no such thing as coincidences in video games. There’s a reason for Ven’s appearance. Of course… That may just be Disney and Square Enix screwing with our heads. Helps with the publicity.
Aqua… Strong and caring. Plus she likes Ven.
I believe that Xehonort was the other one that fell into darkness. But then explain the words “Xehonort’s memories…†that flash by.
