I thought Haley Joel could have done a little better. The first game his performance was "Meh" but I blame the writing Sora didn't have much of a personality he was basically "Find my friends fight evil". During Kingdom Hearts 2 seemed like he was trying to use a slightly higher pitch to make himself sound a bit younger, I think if he had just spoken normally it would have sounded fine. Anyway I think Jesse Mccarthy surprised me the most I thought he would be the worst but he really surprised me.
Anyway I thought all the voice actors did great, they really pulled the roles off well. I expected nothing but greatness from the Disney actors though -

...also known as the Zany Adventures Of Badly Drawn Pictures Of Zoro. Not funny, not interesting. There was one cute scene of Zoro pushing Robin into an alley. Other than that....meh.
Next week looks interesting though. The animation is that Movie 6-like style and featuring Sanji. Has promise.
EDIT: Here are some screen caps, including Water 7's one and only "Jap" store and Zoro's changing color shirt. The last two pics are from the next episode, where Sanji runs by the "readtor" formerly known as the "realtor."

Fooly Cooly was awesome Jube...
Anyway 4kids would probably never dub it. It was an OVA not a full anime series series. But if they were to dub it, they would remove the "Next episode" previews, remove all the good humor and japanese letters, edit names, and the action... well there would be no action... -

Man, Toei knows how to put the "fill" into filler. This one is similar to Apis actually with the little girl and old animal thing going on. She asks Luffy and Chopper to help her look for her Yagara Bull that was lost during Aqua Laguna. The resolution is pretty cliche. We've seen it a million times on TV.
Anyways, next week we get different filler. The good news is that it's about Zoro! The bad news.....it's filler! Looks like Zoro is involved with those two kids again and has to do the tough-guy-takes-care-of-little-kids thing....which we've also seen a million times. Oh well.
Screen caps: Interesting to see a kid with a mother and father. I guess only in fillers(Movie 6). Also a couple of Pandaman shots. Yay. The first two caps are from a Gear Spirits commercial with a little animation giving us a glimpse of the future Ace vs. *spoiler*Blackbeardfight. The spoiler cap is another pic from that commercial.Click to expand...

HUGE Update coming! De Arimasu!

Well, if that wasn't one of the saddest episodes ever...
The art was great. It did look a lot like Movie 7. Nami and Robin had huge cans, just like the movie, but luckily it didn't get too much in the way here. Pretty failthful to the manga. A really cool part: all the Merry flashbacks at the end were re-animated. Looked very nice in widescreen. Good job on consistency Toei. They also show shots of most of the rooms of Merry as Luffy and Chopper look for Usopp. Good idea.
Net ep looks good: the return of G.
EDIT: Some notes. In one scene they "accidentally" forget to draw Robin's slip and you can see her ***...kinda. What? Of course I made a screencap of it! Also, the music they play at the end during the recaps was ending 16, Dear Friends. And speaking of recaps. The ones at the beginning of this episode are very short this time.
I guess I'll put the rest as SPOILERS. Get your hanky ready.
Hm. The GM had mugiwara flags in the flashback at Usopp's village. Is that right?Click to expand...crossbones said:-313-
Good episode. We get to hear about Adam and see Paulie in his cool new jacket. They also added a bit of hilarious filler involving Zoro and his keen sense of direction. And they seem to be stretching out the part where the two kids try to mug him. Then there's Garp, of course.
Spoiler section. Btw, Garp's scar is not visible in his first shot but they show it in the following scenes.Click to expand...crossbones said:Ehh...?

This was a great episode. The animation was quite good and a lot of the scenes are directed very nicely. A lot of classic OP tracks here too. Nice way of connecting to the older episodes.
We get to hear of Shin Sekai and Vegapunk and all sorts of new info. They picked the Sogeking theme song to play at the party. Heh. Very moving ending with Robin and Aokiji too. Looks like next week will actually look the same as far as production quality is concerned which is good. Check out the link in the first post to see the preview. Can't wait to see Shanks again.
Looks like Nami's bikini is the same color as in the Rainbow book after all.

The first few minutes were filler with he return of the two W7 station guys. Then more partying and later Shanks and Whitebeard. I hate to say it but the final scene with them is surprisingly weak. I was hoping for something with more "DON!" in it. Too bad. Also...*spoiler*no new bounties in this ep, although we get to see Sanji's dream bounty posters. That was funny. They reanimate a couple of flashbacks but not others. Kind of annoying.
Anyway, next week is filler time. *sigh* Animation looks great though.

2. Yellow is the latest data book referencing the manga specifically.
3. Rainbow is the first data book about the anime. Very different than the Log Book.
4. Grand Paper Adventure 3D is a pop-up book, all art by Eiichiro Oda.
5. Not 100% sure yet. Some kind of book with illustrations and interviews. I think it's B5 size(Japan).
All come with different special messages and sketches from Oda. You can find pics of 1-4 in the collectibles thread. EDIT: Ok, I just linked them instead. Man, I love this style of art. And the animation is so expressive. They do recycle a couple of scenes but this episode is great. The crew make their escape thanks to Sanji's plan and Robin gets her revenge.....and wow, is that a painful scene.
Next week's episode has a new style of animation as far as I can tell. Never seen it before but it looks good, I think(ehm....some people might not notice). I'll be interested if they can keep one style for more than one episode. EDIT: Ah, I think I can place that style........Movie 7???? Boobies!!!!!!Click to expand...

ROBIIIIIIIIIIIN!!!!! *wipes tears from eyes*
Wait, that was last week. Whoah, still recovering I guess. By the way, if anyone's interested, I put together a soundtrack of episode 309. It's got all the music from beginning to end in chronological order. Here it is:
Episode 309 Soundtrack
I figured last week's episode deserves it. That Movie 8 piece has grown on me a lot. I think it actually worked better than the Crocodile climax. I know I'm probably the only one with that opinion. But they did such a great job editing the piece, from the violins over the flashbacks to the cellos and woodwinds building over the Lucci and Robin flashbacks to the trumpets, trombones/french horns playing as Lucci gets pushed back into the wall. Awesome. Also, Giant Stronghold, Takeoff!! from Movie 7 near the end playing through each crew member's fight was brilliant. Keeping the same track over all of that really builds tension. So here's to the sound guys at Toei too.
Anyway, 310's out. Not last week's killer animation but still exciting. For once though, it was nice actually enjoying the tedious 5 minute recap at the beginning. But this one had a great ending. And next week has that "other" style of art similar to Movie 6 that we sometimes see. Looks really good!

Uhm....This episode is simply astonishing. Even my jaw dropped and that takes some doing. It wasn't just animated beautifully but directed beautifully as well. The attention to detail in movement and expression is incredible. From the very first frame with Lucci, you know this is the real deal. The style is an interesting combination of reliable Movie 4 art and the dynamism of Movie 6. Don't read too much into that though. It's pretty subtle. The fight against the bosses had much more weight in this than the last episode. The ending might have you tearing up too. This'll make people's top 5 list, if not No.1.
Wow.
Lots o' screencaps coming...
First off, if you're interested in what music they played for the climax, here it is. Track 47 from the Movie 8 soundtrack. One of the few original pieces in that movie. Of course they could have picked something better but I think it works very well.
SPOILER CAPS feat. Zoro vs. Rusty and final Luffy. Heck, why not one more. Same ending as Movie 6. :) Hmm...AND Ussop saves Zoro too.Click to expand... -

Spiderman 3
Spider-Man 3 B+
[moulin rouge]Generally I liked it[/moulin rouge] Great movie It's probably the best Marvel...NO Super Hero movie I have seen yet! But of course like everything it was not without it's flaws. First would be Venom, His voice remained virtually unchanged after his transformation, The claws were a horrible edition, he definitely was not as big as he should have been which makes no sense since he was CG the majority of the time, I don't know it seems like they are able to take small villains like the Sand Man and Doc Octavious and make them totally awesome, but big time villains like Venom and the Green Goblin get totally screwed up....
Another problem for me would probably be the fact that they kinda messed up the Black Spider-Man suit, All they really did was make it black, The kept the little web lines and they did not even add the new spider symbol, Also there was way less spider-man than there was Peter Parker, I mean there was no snappy come back or funny dialog that I would normally expect from the character.
Now onto the good, I thought the fight sequences were totally awesome, Sand Man was done so well, Especially his first scene when he gets his powers and then when he uses them, His fights with spider man were done so well, I can't believe how good it looked the CG was truly breath taking, Another good fight sequence was the two Peter vs Harry fights, The first was great but the second one was an all out brawl! I thought the dialog (Besides MJ's constant whining) was pretty good, Especially when harry was trying to mess with there relationship. I also enjoyed the humor in this film, I loved how silly Peter got when he started using the symbiote suit, It sure did enhance natural dorkiness, I was in stitches in all of those scenes up until he slapped MJ (Which I say she sorta had it coming) I really loved when he started dancing at the club and the scene with the french guy in the restaurant (Seriously Tobey Maguire must have loved working on this movie), Besides that this movie had the best Stan Lee cameo in any of the marvel movies
Like I said earlier Generally I liked it and I would not mind seeing it again , This definitely has to be added to my DVD Collection (Which is very small might I add)
