I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't go into how the secret bosses allude to future events of the series. The Unkonwn in Hollow Bastion hints towards Xemnas in KHII, Lingering Will hints towards BBS, and BBS' Young Xehanort fight that hints towards DDD.
Hasn't the whole series been the Xehanort Saga? I'd rather the series had a definite ending. Starting a whole new story after this one ends seems like milking a dry cow.
So everyone's theory is that the seven lights will be Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Aqua, Ven, and Terra. And Xehanort still needs one more dark vessel to complete his thirteen. So the only real question left is who that thirteenth vessel is. Right?
Well, here's my theory. It will probably be wrong, but if it was right, it'll make things a whole lot more interesting.
First, I need to remind people that the Lingering Will, one of the secret bosses from KH II: FM hinted toward the plot of BBS, particularly the end of Terra's story. Then, BBS's secret boss, the Unknown, hinted toward the time travel shenanigans Xehanort discusses in DDD. So one would think that the secret boss in DDD hints toward the plot of KH III. But instead of some mystery figure in armor or a cloak who exudes this aura of ominousness, all we get is a Franken-Pete monster who, while challenging, can't allude towards anything in the future.
That is, unless you've actually seen Runaway Brain.
So here's what I think: At some point in KH III, Dr. Frankenollie, the guy who created Julius, will remove Mickey's brain/heart, and Xehanort will place his heart inside Mickey, turning the mouse into the feral beast from the short, as well as the thirteenth vessel. That leaves Sora and Co. short one light vessel, which is when Lea will swing into the rescue, Keyblade in hand. I think it's Lea because even Yen Sid was surprised when Lea summoned his Keyblade, and if this is something Yen Sid couldn't foresee, then that means Lea has a lot of untapped potential.
I'm probably batting way out in left field on this one. But how cool would it be if it was correct?
Secret Portal Spellican was hardest for me. Julius was tough, but once you formulate a plan and stick to it, the fight becomes pretty fun. Spellican's constant teleporting and switching to that stupid grinding section where you can't dodge anything properly just made that fight so goddam irritating.
3 is Young Xehanort.
4 is where you have to fight Hokomonkey and Wargoyle in the cramped Third District that doesn't give you any room to dodge their area covering attacks.
5 is normal Spellican.
I'd have liked to see more cutscenes involving the TWEWY cast. For all the times DDD brings up the Reapers and their Game, nothing really comes of it. Some closure would be nice.
Well, here's a question: If I have a spirit with whom I've unlocked several abilities, and then I make another of the same spirit, do I have to re-unlock those abilities, or is the unlocking for the type of spirit, rather than the individual spirit itself?
Like, I make Meow Wow 1, unlock abilities with it, then make Meow Wow 2. Will MW1's abilities already be unlocked for MW2?
No. I mean, yeah, "The Trist" is based on the name "Tristan", but it's nothing to do with YGO. It's not my real name either, it's a bit more personal than that. It's also the handle I use for pretty much any online thing. Deviantart, Team Fortress 2, Mario Kart, Kid Icarus: Uprising, even Dream Drop Distance. So if you see someone with that name floating over their heads in any of these games, you'll know who you're up against (although Dream Drop didn't have enough spaces in the name entry, so that one is just "Trist").
Wait, so every single copy has those same three cards? That's really disappointing. There's no real trill to having them if there's no surprise as to what you get. I mean, Kid Icarus: Uprising did it right; you'd think people would take their cue.
The "Faster! Faster!" get tiresome really quickly, but I'm having fun with them, especially how each is themed for the different worlds, something KH and KH II didn't do. I just wish they were longer, and that I didn't keep hitting obstacles all the time.
Surprised no one made a thread like this yet. Unless I just missed it, in which case I'm very sorry.
Anywho, I got a card for an R & R Seal, a card with three different spirits on it that gave me a Pseudoneku, and one with the Spirit symbol on it that doesn't seem to do anything but move one of my party onto it.
