Hello there. I hope this section of the community isn't too dead. :)
I honestly did everything in my own power to do everything on my own. But 3 weeks at it and I'm at my breaking point. I'm having a ton of problems and I just need help. Otherwise, I won't be able to go any farther than I have. Doesn't help that there's over a decade of codes for this game and so much is obsolete. Anyway, here is what I dealing with that doesn't work.
Almost forgot to list what specs I'm dealing with. I'm using KH2FM with the ENG Translation Patch from Crazycat00. I used his patcher, translation patch and Extras section. I'm also using PCSX2 1.4.0. As a result of using PCSX2, I'm using .pnach files to put in codes. I still have a clean ROM of the game, but that's for backup purposes. I also have Teamod 2.1.8, but I really don't use that because of all the crashes it causes.
(For the sake of getting help, I'm color-coding the issues I'm getting in ranges of severity. Red means I need help ASAP. Please. I'm begging. Green means, I can deal with it as is and Yellow falls in between.)
- Issue # 1: I can only use Version 1 of the Universal Character Modification Codes. The issue that broke the camel's back was the many issues I'm having with the Universal Character Modifier (UCM). Apparently; long, long ago there were TWO kinds of UCM codes. Version 1 codes and Version 2 codes. For some reason, my version of KH2FM only accepts the UCM V1 codes. For example; for most people, if they want King Mickey to replace Donald as a Party Member, you'd put in patch=1,EE,11CE0B68,extended,00000318. That's using the codes from the front page. But that DOES NOT WORK for me. Nothing occurs in game at all, whatsoever. Instead, I have to use patch=1,EE,11C6CC20,extended,00000318. I'm getting the Version One codes from this old site: http://www.khplanet.com/forum/threads/kingdom-hearts-2-final-mix-codes.1150/page-2. I'm not advertising this place, just listing it as a reference.It is the ONLY place I can find the old V1 codes. Which I am sure are outdated for most folks. But I don't know why this is the case for me. Now, I'm able to get past this by simply using the V1 codes. But I'm beginning to suspect that this issue is impacting the other ones coming down the road.
- Issue # 2: Whenever I use a Limit (Team Limits or a Limit from Limit Form), My allies disappear if they are not the original allies. This is the real camel breaking issue for me, as I can't continue my playthrough if everyone is going to disappear when Sora uses Strike Raid in Limit Form. I have Riku & Mickey in my party (Mickey's presence glitches everything every time I open a menu, but alas, I am coping with that). Whenever Sora uses any Limit from Limit Form, Riku disappears and won't come back until I swap rooms. This issue isn't just for Riku. If I swap Donald, Goofy or the Guest Character with any other party member from other worlds, using a Limit Command causes everyone not involved in the Limit to disappear. I was getting by as you don't need to use Session or Bluff or Red Rocket. But Limit Form is 100% useless as it gets rid of all party members if I try to heal. Oh and if you need an example of the code I am using to swap allies, I'll give you the code I'm using to replace Riku for Goofy. The one that works for me. Here it is: patch=1,EE,11C6CC24,extended,00000819
- Issue # 3: Trying to figure out how to do Summon Replacements. This one is tough, but one of my personal pet projects. Simply put, I'm trying to replace the four summon characters with other characters. Like Swapping out Genie for Cloud. Or Genie anything. Personally, Genie is a trash summon in KH2 and I rather get rid of him instead of Chicken Little (which most existing codes do). Though at this point, it'd be best if I could just swap out all 4 summons for anyone using the UCM Digits. Right now, all I've got is a few summon codes that swap out Chicken Little. I'll list them below, so maybe someone can help me figure out how to do it on my own, or just swap Chicken Little for either Genie, Stitch or Peter Pan.

I had a "Riku as a Summon Code" but it didn't work as he got stuck in T-stance. I've since then deleted that code. Sorry I don't have it to help with troubleshooting. Even now, looking at the codes... I don't see any correlation between the 3. Sure Cloud's code is similar to Axel's... but none of them are close to King Mickey's. It boggles my mind.
- Issue # 4: Trying to turn Anti-Form Sora into "Dark Warrior" Sora. This I think would be, not only a cool idea... but not make Anti-Form as gimped as it is. I also saw some videos on it and man... I want to do it. The goal is to create a code where if/when you Drive into Anti-Form Sora, you'd instead end up with this guy. First off the video, I saw all of this go down.. First off, it took me a while to find out that the code was originally called "Dark Warrior Sora", not "Dark Knight Sora". Oy. Anyway, after figuring out the true name, I finally got a code from some more digging!
Dark Warrior Sora[KH2FM - R2]:
E00DFDFF 0034D45C

01C95617 00000000
21C95618 00000000

21CD528C 00303330
21CD5290 00000000
11CD5294 00000000

21CE267C 005300B2
21C95614 5F303031
21C95618 464C5448
Straight up, that code DID NOT WORK for me. Not as it was. Mostly due to Issue # 1, I think. So I tried to edit it and have it make some more sense...

This... is as far as I got. What this code actually does is turn Sora's base model into Anti-Form Sora's model. But that's it.... and only on the start screen. I think. I might have fixed that part. Anyway. the code should at least activate when Sora goes into Anti-Form (the way I think I wrote it) but nothing happens. At least he didn't go into Anti-Form model as Base Sora. Alas, the code doesn't work and I'm at a loss again on how to fix it. Again, I think Issue # 1 is preventing me from troubleshooting it correctly.
- Issue # 5: I can't get Dual-Wielding Roxas to use Action Commands... without Glitching Oathkeeper in his left hand. This is a very minor issue, but at this point, I'm listing everything with the hope I get some help with something. Here are the codes I'm using.
Play as Roxas and "Drive" (Valor) into Dual-Wielding "Form"
NOTE: Permanently replaces Kingdom Key with Oblivion

Roxas (Dual-Wielding) can perform Reaction Commands (Glitches Oathkeeper)
patch=1,EE,E001FDFF,extended,0034D45C
patch=1,EE,01C9F62F,extended,00000001
Now, all 3 of these codes work for me. But I can't understand why the third one causes the model to glitch permanently. I'm also not sure what line in the first code is permanently turning the Kingdom Key into Oblivion, but I don't really care about that bit. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
- Issue # 6: Using a alternate code of having Mickey as a Party Member. It works but locks Sora out of the Command Menu. This one is complicated. And thankfully, I fixed MOST of the issues I had. At first, I was just using a straight UCM modifier code to replace Donald/Goofy with King Mickey. But instead of using the 764 digit code (which gives you Mickey with AI, but he doesn't follow Sora & he crashes the game anytime you do anything in the Start Menu), I was trying to use the 318 digit code. This swapped out the Donald/Goofy for Mickey... but I was playing him and Sora was just following me around. That... was not what I was hoping for. For some reason, the code forced me to play as Mickey, even though I was swapping out Donald for Mickey. That code looked like this:
patch=1,EE,11C6CC22,extended,00000318
So... to fix that situation, I had to "force trick" the code. If that code forced me to play as Mickey when I swapped him with Donald. Then I'd need to swap Sora's space ahead of time. So that when Mickey replaced Donald and the game forced me to play as Mickey; I'd be already playing Mickey. That would force the code to make me play as Sora. All in all, the code came out like this:
patch=1,EE,11C6CC22,extended,00000054
patch=1,EE,11C6CC20,extended,00000318
This code... works! As in I'm playing Sora and Donald is replaced by Mickey. And this Mickey follows Sora around and mimcs his movements. Thankfully, since Mickey has so few movements, this code is superior to the one that crashes my game often.
But then came the side effect. Because I'm technically playing as King Mickey (with the code forcing me to play as Sora), I can't use the command Menu as Sora. I can only Attack, Use items and whatever is in the shortcut menu. It's not terrible. But you end up weighing the side effects of each Mickey as an Ally code. Do you use the one where you can use all of Sora's actions, but Mickey doesn't exactly follow you as well as him crashing the game every so often? Or do you use the code where Mickey follows and mimics your every move, but Sora can't use any of the Command Menu options? If anyone has some insight into any of this, please let me know. Oh and don't forget that Issue # 1 is why my codes probably look so different than the norm.
For Final Reference, I'll list both versions of the King Mickey as an Ally code(s).
//King Mickey as a Party Member (Replaces Donald)
//Mickey doesn't follow Sora, but has his own AI. Crashes game often
patch=1,EE,11C6CC22,extended,00000764
patch=1,EE,11CE0B6A,extended,00000764
//King Mickey as a Party Member (Alternate Code) (Replaces Donald)
//Mickey will Follow and Mimic Sora's actions. Donald must be in Party before Activation
//Sora's locked out of Command Menu except for Attack, Items & Shortcuts
patch=1,EE,11C6CC22,extended,00000054
patch=1,EE,11C6CC20,extended,00000318
That is it for all of the major issues I'm having. I'm praying that I get some help with this. But I'm no fool. With KH3 on the way, no one is seriously looking at the modding/hacking scene of KH2FM, no where near as serious as they were 5, 6 maybe even 10 years ago. But I need help, personally. And you'll never know if you'll get help, if you don't ask. So I am asking. Worse case scenario, if someone is looking this up another decade from now... at least they'll have this post as a reference... and know they aren't the only person out there who ran into similar issues. If this post somehow helps them... then that is fine too. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me with these issues... and to anyone who I may inadvertently help with their issues in the future.
For if there is one thing I've learned in all of this... it is that internet posts from decades ago... don't die. And they don't forget, either.
EDIT: Issue # 7: Looking for a code that creates a guest ally, even in worlds that don't have one (Radiant Garden, Timeless River ,Twilight Town, etc). Seeing if I can use this as a work around for issue # 2. Because if a World Exclusive character is replaced by another World Exclusive character, than they'll return after a Limit Command is finished. So if Riku is a guest ally in every world, he won't disappear when I use Limit Form commands, such as Strike Raid or Sonic Rave. I sadly have no idea on where to go with this though.
