Well, the thing about the story was kinda explained at the end of KH. Remember, the "light within the darkness", Kingdom Hearts and in KHII, the door from The Darkness that took Sora and Riku home? Sure, all that stuff hasn't really been explained too well so it might be valid in the upcoming games.

They should have the movie be the ending for the whole KH series, like AC. I think that would be the way to present a movie.
