1. SplitOverload - it's pretty simple and the smudging is rough but I think it's the best executed piece out of the four.
2. cstar - I think this one is nearly equal to my third pick but I believe this one requires a bit more time and effort so this one gets my second place vote.
3. Xia Amane - I like the colors and lighting 8D.
ohohoh, last minute curveball vote. The plot thickens.
For starting out, it generally is best to use neutral colored backgrounds such as blacks and greys. It's also important to appropriately size the stock to match your render too of course. For my own style, I tend to use a lot of neutral background colors and I've my fair bit of experience so it's not even like it's a beginner style to do it. You'll find that if you try and use an exciting and eye catching background, it'll actually be harmful to your signature because it competes for attention with the render. With that in mind, the stock should have a lower vibrancy of color than your render, if it has any color at all which it won't if you start out with a neutral background, and should be blurred appropriately if it has a lot going on in it. Just remember, a background needs to be a background. Your render and effects should be the focus.
If you do something like a stock background that's really just a pattern/design you may not even need to resize it unless it's so big that you can only see a very small portion of the overall pattern (as in like one or two individual 'pattern piece things').
It looks like a good start ;D. The bar on the left looks unnecessary though (I know it's a style but it needs to be worked into the tag to look appropriate and not in need of a crop, y'know?) and the depth is rather funky. The use of colors is solid and the use of lighting is fairly consistent though a bit awkward and I'm not a big fan of the burning on the right side of the face; not to say it shouldn't be burned but instead that I think highlights should have been burned and it looks like it was mostly midtones and shadows. Seems like a bit of effect C4D and fractal spam but it's not too bad. I think it's a quite alright tag that could be worked on a bit more =].
I also think this one would be better suited to a tag with less height and more width but that's just meee.
The first is pretty dang good and has great use of soft brushing for lighting but the second is just badass. I think depth could be a tad better for both, particularly the first just because it feels like it's really craving it, but I aint got no mo' to say beyond that. The second is a bit inspirational for me though 8D.
It's alright but the blending seems rushed and a bit sketchy. The colors don't really match and it just kinda seems a like a C4D with a layer or two on some alpha channel were used (although I think the coloring on her sides/shoulders/hair does it justice). I'unno. I'm not a big fan of this one x.x; It seems like too many fractals and some C4Ds and not enough work in detail or technical stuff.
Okay I'm a liar and I'm sorry. I'unno about Jade but I just don't have the time at all to do anything so I kinda pointlessly extended this. Sorry, everyone ;_;.
I meant the fact that you took a chatlog from another forum and brought it here to feed your e-penor, but given your distorted sense of mentality, I can understand why you misunderstood me :).
No one reads these, anyway. I aint even gonna start a war here. This forum has a friendly community and I'm not going to come around out of nowhere and start creating tension. I do wonder what it's like though, Makaze, to be aware that you're entirely alone with no genuine companionship and being incapable of forming bonds. I 'spose there are worse things than dying alone far down the road.
