But remember when Kairi lost her heart? It mixed with Sora's heart aswell. She just vanished into Sora's body when Destiny Island was attacked by the heartless.
So Ven doesn't need to be a heartless to give his heart or to fuse with Sora.... or whatever ^^

I think it's too early to discuss something about KH 3
but you got some good points there !
The enemys "Dis-soul" make me wonder... because why were the dis-souls ( new enemys ) 10 years before KH1 there but later not?
Do you really think that they will come back in KH 3? If yes, then how will they come back? What do you think^^?

I think for every hero the final boss will be someone else.
I mean it would be boring if you play with terra, beat Master Xehanort and after that restart the game with Ven or Aqua just to beat Master Xehanort again?
Personally, I HOPE every character gets his / her own final boss =D
