”Most likely female god. After all, I knew only my father, but never heard a word about my mother.” she answered boy’s question.
She drank and ate what she was gave, still thinking about things that happened. She found some answers she was searching for so long, but that wasn’t enough.
“So… What will happen to us now?” she asked one of the doctors. “We’ll meet our godly parent and then…?”
She had no idea what else can they do. Learn how to fight the monsters maybe. But then? She didn’t like the idea of dedicating her whole life to something like that.
„ Zeus, if I recall his name correctly.†she nodded. “But I don’t think he’s the one. It would be too good to be true.â€
She smiled looking at Hana.
“Oh yeah, that remained me… I forgot to thanks the boy who saved us.†she sighed a little. “Anyway.. Thanks Hana. I’m glad that I met you back then.†she said to cheerful girl.
Ignored by boy, she didn’t say a thing to him. Yes, she knew, she might not be the lively one here, but still… She looked at Hana and smile a little. She was different than her. Sylvia was quiet. Or rather didn’t enjoy other people company so much.
“No idea.” was her response. “I still don’t know, who’s my godly parent.” I wonder, who can it be. It’s not like I can say anything with my “vast” knowledge.”
“But for sure there is many gods. Major, minor or something like that…”
Wait what?
So she found the answers, she was looking for such a long time. But now she just didn’t know, what to think about it all. She tried to understand it, but it surely was hard. So she was a demigod, half-god, half-mortal. Daughter of god. Since she had lived with her father, she guessed, that her mother was a god. She never was really interested in mythology, but she knew something about Greek gods. She was able to recall some names, like Athena, Artemis or Aphrodite, but she still didn’t know who was her mother. Nice camp… If I only knew, something like that exist… she thought to herself.
“Amazing.” that was all, she could say.
Everything seemed so strange and unbelievable. Just like dream…
[OOC: Sorry, I had a busy week and I wasn’t able to post.
"Wow." that was all Sylvia could say, after seeing monsters being reduced to dust by a boy.
His moves was amazing. The thought stroked her. Maybe he was fighting them for a long time. It would explain many things.
"Yeah." she agreed again with Hana.
She didn't share her enthusiasm, still worried about what might happened, but as for the moment, they were safe. Thanks to the boy of course.
"Well, I'm not sure, but I think we're now part of something really big. Tough I'm still not sure why." she whispered back to her new friend.
She wouldn't mind some explanation, but knew well that it's not the best time for it. At least there was a big chance, that if they get safe to the Empire State Building, they'll find out something more.
"Hi" she said, when the girl introduced her.
So none of them knew what to do. At least they were heading towards something - Empire State Building. But first, they had to deal with Cyclops. Surprisingly, before they could do anything, someone took care of the problem. It was a boy, but unlike them, he was able to do something to the monsters around them. Maybe he knows something more than us. she thought to herself, while examining their savior carefully. The most interesting part was his sword. The weapon you wouldn't normally see on the street.
"That was something." she agreed with the girl.
She sighed with relief, they were safe for the time being.
"No idea, but they did say something about us being demigods, right?"
Sylvia was searching for the reason, why she was attacked for a long time, but never find the answer. But now, with they boy who knew how to fight the Cyclops, she hoped, that she will finally know what's going on.
„H-hi.†she said, still surprised. “I’m Sylvia.†So she don’t know how to fight them too. she thought. Even though, she was glad, that there was someone else, who was able to see the monsters just like her.
“True enough.†she said, when girl noticed how unusually was their situation.
She also saw the boy. So there was more people like her. It was a little bit comforting. But now was not the time for this. Hana was right. If they didn’t know how to fight, they should escape together from the danger.
“Actually, I’ve got no idea, but…†she answered girl’s question. “The closer we are to the Empire State Building, the more monsters and people like us are appearing, right?†she asked rhetorical question. “So maybe we should try to get there quickly? Maybe we find answers there or at least someone who know how to fight them?â€
There was no place to hide, nor to run. Cyclop was right behind her, getting ready to aim at her again. She dodged it, but in the process tripped over something and collapsed. Sylvia felt the cold pavement with her check. No... It can't be... It's not over yet. she though, while trying to stand up. Surprisingly enough, monster wasn't attacking her, giving an opportunity to escaped him. At least, Sylvia was thinking about doing it, but then she saw something. Another Cyclop. Just when she thought, she would be able to flee. And so my luck ends here... She made few steps back, thinking what to do now. Or what SHE could do now. Not much. Just as she was ready to gave up her hope in her tragic situation, she noticed something else, that surprised her. A girl, running towards her. At first, she thought it may be another average person, but something was wrong. She can see them? Sylvia asked herself with a little bit of disbelief.
Sylvia stopped for a moment, looking around. Strange noises were gone, but not forever. She quickly dived into the crowd, trying to hide from monsters. She knew they were here, but she didn't want to meet them. Being killed by some weird creatures it's not actually the best death I can imagine. she thought to herself, while trying to look like an average person. Without even knowing it, she was walking towards the Empire State Building. Lost in her thoughts, she noticed the upcoming attack a bit too late, but still managed to avoid it.
“Don’t think you can hide from us demigod.” she heard a deep voice.
In front of her there was Cyclop. His single eye was glaring at Sylvia, as he was ready to kill her with a single blow. Run! It was the only idea, she was able to came up with. For a second, she was frozen by fear, but then she came to her senses and dashed away, trying to escaped from the danger. It was the only thing she could do at the moment. Yet she was too slow. And without a weapon, she couldn’t even properly fight against the monster, that was chasing her.
“I know, I’m asking for too much, but maybe there is someone who can help me.” she whispered quietly.
She was in New York, surrounded by people and yet, none of them was able to help her.
