His outfit looks kind of royal. It's got gold parts and the rest of it looks pretty well-made. Now, compare that to Terra's outfit.

Well, you have to remember the screenshots are development versions. A black keyblade probably just means they're using a development keyblade without a texture or shader.

Same sort of thing applies to Aqua. They already have the art resources for Ven (just steal his animations from Roxas), so it's just a matter of "who are we going to make first, Terra or Aqua?" Obviously, Terra was chosen.

Yeah, I agree. I've been thinking this too. Sora has had a history of carrying other's hearts with him (Kairi's in KH1), so why can't he carry Ven's?

But I don't think Roxas so much just looks like Ven. I think he is Ven. When Roxas starts getting memories back, and leaves the Organization, why would he attack Riku if he were getting Sora's memories back. I think he's getting Ven's memories back, and thinks Xehenort is inside Riku.

Well, if Master Xehenort truely took over Terra, maybe that means Terra still had his own as well as Xehenort's. Maybe that's why he can have a heartless, a nobody, and still exist by himself at the same time. Like how Sora and Roxas can both exist.

This also lends to the Roxas actually being Ven theory. In my theory, Sora has his own and Ven's heart, and when he stabs himself, he unlocked Ven who became Roxas. Maybe Xehenort has Terra and Master Xehenort's hearts, and through Ansem's experiments, he went back to being Terra, and his heartless, KH1 Ansem, assumed the role of Master Xehenort, as well as his outfit. Also, note how KH1 Ansem says "I know all there is to know." Clue that he's a really old guy?

Ven's good heart became a nobody.
Master Xehenort's bad heart became a heartless.

We know Roxas was getting memories back when he left the Organization. If they were Sora's memories, why would he attack Riku? Because Roxas is Ven and he thinks Xehenort is inside Riku!

Hey. Don't forget there are points where Sora and Roxas fight with BOTH hands at the same time. That's just pure skill, not plot.

Ven and Roxas look exactly the same, but then why do Aqua and Namine look different? I guess the way Sora and Kairi produced Nobodies were special, but I dunno. We already know Sora can carry other's hearts with him.

Also, I was watching some old KH1 cutscenes recently. Ansem says "I know all there is to know." I think that's more evidence that he is just a spirit that travels from host to host.

Hey, I was thinking it already. But yeah, guys, if you goto that thread, there's a bunch of evidence.

Who knows? There could be no direct relation between Ven and Sora other than they are both destined to be keyblade wielders and look the same. I don't know about Square's history of using this, but looking at something like Zelda, there is no one Link. There are several people named Link throughout history, but they all look the same because they're the destined great heroes or whatever.

Age-wise, though, they're closest to brothers. I'm guessing during BBS, Ven is 16 while Sora is 4.

Terra just thinks Sora is Xehanort because he thinks Xehenort is in the new Keyblade person, who was supposed to be Riku, who did have Xehenort/Heartless Ansem in him. Terra just sees Sora's keyblade and says, "Oh, must be Xehenort."

Here's my theory. It fits perfectly as far as I can tell, and doesn't sound to ridiculous.

-Terra, Ven and Aqua fight Master Xehanort.
-Master Xehenort, being the old decrepid dude he is, takes over Terra's body (Like KH1 Ansem takes over Riku)
-Some unknown connection is made between Ven and Sora, as well as Aqua with Kairi. Heart transplant?
-Terra becomes Professor Xehenort, as in Ansem the Wise's assistant.
-Professor Xehenort becomes Heartless Ansem(who has Master Xehenort's outfit!) and Xemnas.

Ah? Ah?

Yes. It all works out so perfectly. I'm sure we're close if anything. So, here's what we got so far.

Terra, Ven, and Aqua fight Master Xehanort and his apprentice.
Terra gets taken over by Master Xehanort and becomes Xehanort.
Ven and Aqua's hearts some how end up Sora and Kairi's.
Roxas and Namine are special Nobodies because of Ven and Aqua.

Still, where does that leave Riku and Master Xehanort's apprentice?

No, I agree. This is more or less what I've been thinking. Xehanort must just be a spirit who lives forever by possessing one person after another, and obviously, needs a new host by the looks of it.

Ooh, I like where this is going. Master Xehanort taking over Terra's broken, memory-less body. Terra taking Xehanort's name. If Master Xehanort is somehow in Terra/Xehanort, that would explain why his Heartless, KH1 Ansem, has the same outfit as Master Xehanort.

I seriously doubt Terra's name is Tina, but it would be wrong to make the argument that they can't take names from a previous game. Look at all the people named "Cid" in Final Fantasy games.

Freaky. The future, but the past? The games are based around a universe filled with Disney movies. Maybe the universe can be rewound like Disney movies!

I think Terra is the young Xehanort, the human version of Heartless Ansem and Nobody Xemnas. We know Terra is not entirely a good guy because of the secret fight in KH2:FM, and Nomura also said this game would have a lot to do with Xehanort.

Ven clearly looks like Sora/Roxas. Aqua clearly looks like Kairi/Namine. With the whole trio thing in mind, I think that also gives Terra some connection to Riku. If KH1 Ansem is Xehanort's/Terra's Heartless, that would also make the connection of Terra/Riku/Xehanort stronger. Change Riku's hair, eye-color, and complexion, and he could be Terra or Xehanort.

Also, from the trailers, it's clear Terra hates Master Xehanort. Maybe that's why, if he is KH2 Xehanort, his Heartless would take the form of what he hates, as in, KH1 Ansem and Master Xehanort having the same outfits.

So, if there are these three key-blade wielders, one question remains. Are Sora, Kairi, and Riku, somehow the children of Ven, Aqua, and Terra, or reincarnations, or siblings, or what?

You also have to think about what the enemies in Birth by Sleep are. They're not Heartless or Nobodies, so what's left? Heartless are the evil hearts. Nobodies are the empty shells left over from Heartless. Maybe the enemies in Birth by Sleep are the same type of entity Ven, Aqua, and Terra are. Maybe they're Heartfuls or Somebodies!
