I kinda think this has more to do with the way they go about doing the motion capture. You have probably seen those "making of" things for movies where they have the guy running around in suits with little senser balls that capture and translate their movements to the characters in the computer. Well, I believe most of the time, they have to do the facial movements seperately in come cases, using preset expressions recorded earlier. Perhaps, it was a matter of getting everything done in time, or simply not having enough movement come through from the stand in motion actor. That would be my guess atleast. To be honest I never really noticed it much, only that Kingdom Hearts II had much better facial expressions and movements than the first one.

I think Square should still limit the appearances of characters from other games, just so that it is always somewhat of a bonus to see them. The characters I think that would work best that we haven't see so far are:
Vincent teamed with Cait Sith - Cait Sith already even has a crown, he fits perfectly, and would counter balance Vincents Darkness by teaming them together. Perhaps if Sora and co travel to the world of Darkness they could serve as Leon's Counter part.
Zack - Also would work if it is set in the World of Darkness, I think it's important to atleast start him out apart from Cloud. Maybe have them once from the same world, split between Dark and Light, and Zack was left behind. I Don't think it was ever stated that Cloud was from Radiant Gardens, just that he lived there at some point.
Kadaj, Yazoo, Loz - I thought this would be cool. Instead of fighting Sephiroth, In the world of Darkness you would fight his Remnants. I think it would be awesome to fight all three at once, in a level that resembles the Forgotten City, like in Advent Children, maybe allowing you to jump on the trees and stuff too. Maybe after you beat them a Sephiroth fight would be avaible.
Kefka - Would be very interesting to see what his Kingdom Hearts counter part would look like. I would love to see him teamed up with Maleficent. I also could see him having Final Fantasy IX's jesters Zorn and Thorn as henchmen.
Kuja - I think Kuja would fit in with Kingdom Hearts really well. Having him create a new type of Heartless Black Mage, called "The Black Waltzes" that you could battle throughout the game would be interesting.
Chocobos - Have we even seen these in Kingdom Hearts yet? I think they should have some sort of Chocobo somewhere, maybe a cute little Chocobo Tales verison. -
lol, ok so just to clear things up does everyone agree:
Kairi lived in Radiant Garden(which becomes hollow bastion) and was taken by Ansem and experimented on. But did not become a heartless(because her heart was strong).
Some are saying this is when Namine' is created.
Kairi was then sent off to the ocean of Worlds, and somehow lands on Destiny Island. Because princesses are drawn to the Keyblade.
Ansem finds Kairi and tries to gain control of the keyblade by using Riku.
Others are saying Namine's is created here, because we see Kairi all ghost like on Destiny Island.
Is that right? -
"She may lead me to the place where the one holding the key is...
I shall send her off to the ocean of other worlds."
I don't see how Namine' lead him to the Keyblade at all, and Namine' was never sent off to the Ocean of other worlds. Namine was found at Castle Oblivion. Plus, Kairi is mentioned in Report 10, so I assume this takes place right after that. But maybe I am mistaking or misreading something? -
I edited my post above, but I will rewrite it here:
And Ansem Report 11 mentions:
Supposing that there is a close relationship between the Princesses and the Keyblade, it seems likely that they will resonate with each other...
I have chosen one special girl. I do not know if she possesses a power like that of the Princesses. But, there is a chance, and this is an experiment. She may lead me to the place where the one holding the key is...
I shall send her off to the ocean of other worlds.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps Sora's "Love" for Kairi is all an experiment of Ansem... -
Dawn_Keyblade_Mistress I will have to look that up, Im not 100% sure what it says, but I believe Kairi is refered to in some way in one of the reports, because they wanted to experiment on a princess; but just to be sure I will look it up and post it on here.
I'm pretty sure that when Sora become a heartless, he becomes split in two, his body and his Heart are separated, This is why Roxas was born, Sora is only allowed to keep his form because of his strong heart and connection to Kairi.
Well Ansem Report 10 mentions:
My path is set. I shall seek out the wielder of the keyblade and the princesses. My body is too frail for such a journey but I must do this. I will cast it off and plunge into the depths of the darkness.
And Ansem Report 11 mentions:
Supposing that there is a close relationship between the Princesses and the Keyblade, it seems likely that they will resonate with each other...

ya, it's been a while since iv'e seen that part, but I've always wondered why we don't really see her heart enter him, just see her body pass through him like a ghost. Actually, I've always found everything that happens on Destiny Island very odd in Kingdom Hearts I.
I mean like how we never see Sora's parents and how he never misses them, or surely doesn't mention them at all(We do hear his mom though, but only her voice). Riku even tells Sora something like "We will never see our parents agian" yet neither of them seem to care that they haven't seen them since...
We also never learn how Sora, Riku and Kairi end up on the island. I think one of the Ansem reports says something about Kairi being used on some experiment by Ansem or something.
I don't know if you played Kingdom Hearts II yet or not, but it explains what happends to Sora's heart and body after he sticks the dark keyblade into himself. -
Not really related to the battle system, but I hope Sora only uses one hand to wield the Keyblade instead of holding it like a baseball bat, that is, if Sora is in it...

Somewhat of a guess, but from what we know:
*Yen Sid refers to Mickey's Search for a keyblade he finds in the World of Darkness.
*Yen Sid knows who Riku is, meaning he has either met him or Mickey told him about who he was. (My theory is Yen Sid briefly trains Riku between CoM and KHII. Perhaps the reason he is wearing a blindfold when he is fighting Roxas.)
*Yen Sid, has extinsive knowledge of who the Heartless are, who Nobodies are, and who the Organization is. He also describes to Sora how the Heartless have been traveling the Corridors of Darkness to reach other worlds.
*Yen Sid's tower is located between the World and Darkness and of Light. It seems odd he would not return to help you, unless he was doing something more important elsewhere. (Again a theory, but I think from the rumors and interviews about the next Kingdom Hearts game, I think it's clearly going to have a larger focus on the World of Darkness).
It is pretty much just me speculating, but I just don't know where else he would logically go, since it is his tower. I guess he could have gone to some Magic Realm we have not seen, maybe a Fantasia world, but it seemed he was off to do something important to me...
EDIT: Also, if you notice when he disappears, instead of the dark looking portal thing, it's a light looking portal thing, so perhaps the cooridars of Light allow someone to travel through the world of Darkness the same way the Cooridars of Darkness allow someone to move around in the world of Light. -
At the begining of Kingdom Hearts 2, when you enter the basement of the Mansion in Twilight Town, you come across a hallway of pods. 2 of these pods have Donald and Goofy in them, and in the next room there is the pod Sora is in. But there are also several other pods, I was wondering what their purpose was, so while counting them I noticed:
http://img15.imgspot.com/u/07/117/15/OrganizationPods.jpg
The number of pods matches the number of Organization members that didn't work for Ansem. Could this be a clue to where the other members came from?
Now I don't know if this is true, or if the pod Sora was in was built later. Im sure others have noticed this, but I just thought It was interesting and wanted to share and get some thoughts on this... -
I think Yen Sid returned to the world of Darkness, and the Fairies returned to their home world. My reason for thinking this is because, Yen Sid seemed to know an aweful lot about the workings of the Heartless and Nobodies and how Mickey got his keyblade. But thats just a guess, he seemed to be smiling when he left so I assume he knew what he was doing. I kinda doubt Yen Sid was running from Malfeasant, infact I think the Crow was waiting for him to leave, because right after he leaves she returns.

3-D vrs 2-D
Over all I think 2-D is better if done well, however sadly today little of it is down well. It ussually requires more work, is brighter, to me more magical. Some things just don't work in 3-D, I can't really imagin watching Looney Tunes in 3-D it just doesn't work. 3-D is great, but it allows people to be lazy. Many companies producing 3-D today don't have a standards Pixar does, they try to make everything look too realistic and ignore style. I think 3-D has a place(FF AC:) ) but 2-D (Spritied Away) has a place too, and the industry has forgoten this.

The Best Soundtrack
All of Alan Menken's work is great. My favorites of his are:
Little Mermaid
Beauty & the Beast
Aladdin
Hans Zimmer is also very good, I love his work on:
Lion King
Pirates of the Carribean 1 and 2 -
well, I don't know which system you have, Im assuming PS2. All the Final Fantasy are worth playing and all great games, but each game is different and has strengths and weaknesses of it's own. Here is my take if your looking to get into Final Fantasy:
1. Final Fantasy X - I recommend this one to anyone who has never played a Final Fantasy before. It has modern graphics, a good straight forward story, likable characters. It's also probably one of easier games in the series, allowing new players to get used to playing this style of game. It is also the first Final Fantasy to feature voice acting. Just a note, if you get this game play atleast 5 hours before deciding if you like it or not, you probably won't have any idea what is going on before then, don't let that discourage you.
2. Final Fantasy VII - This is one of the best in the series, and definatly the most well known. The story and characters really draw you into it. The only reason I don't recommend this one above Final Fantasy X is that it's a lot older. If you don't mind reading all the dialogue, and can get over seeing older graphics this game is incredibly fun. The combat is very easy to get used to, and you won't have much problem getting into it.
3. Final Fantasy IX - This was the last one that came out on Playstation, so it's graphics are a step above Final Fantasy VII's. If you are interested in playing a Classic Final Fantasy this is probably the best example I can offer. It's a lot different from the "newer" games in the series and might turn off some people who only started playing the games since Final Fantasy VII, but if the idea of playing an RPG with Traditional roles such as Black Mage, Theif, Summoner, this is the game you should try.
4. Final Fantasy XII - This one is the newest in the series. I wasn't the biggest fan of this one because it really had a lot of potiental with great characters that weren't fully used in the story. The gameplay is fun, but very different from others in the series. I guess I would mostly recommend this to fans of Western style RPG's that want to try a Final Fantasy, or someone who cares less about a good story and more about the gameplay elements. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good game and a lot of fun.
5. Final Fantasy VIII - People seem to either love or hate this one, I think it has a lot to do with coming out right after the mega popular Final Fantasy VII. The biggest differences in this game is that it is set in a modern looking world, and you don't advance simply by leveling, you equip magic to raise your stats. The system is a bit complicated, so I don't recommend this one for someone who hasn't played an FF before. I still enjoy it though, and I think you should eventually play it if you really like the series.
That is just one way to look at the games for someone who has never played the series before. I would also encourage you to play the origanal Final Fantasy which has been remade many times, and all the SuperNintendo games. If you prefer a more chess-like stratigy game, you would probably love the first Final Fantasy Tatics for Playstation.
Hope that helps you out a bit.
