I never had any reaction of watching that scene. To me, it seemed obvious that Goofy wasn't dead. Disney would never allow Goofy to get killed (although Square-Enix might want to). And anyway, I was too happy about finally beating Demyx to think of anything else.
Had Roxas even joined the Organization at the time of CoM? The game takes place directly after the first, so only a few days would have passed since Sora became a Heartless.
But near the end of KH2, Naminé says to Roxas: "So, we can be together again". As far as I can see, Roxas and Naminé never spent any time together in KH2, so they may have met sometime before.
Ansem the Wise isn't the creator of Heartless, Xemnas just said that to taunt him. What he meant was, that Ansem was the one who started the experiments that eventually led to the creation of the Heartless. But it was Xehanort who carried on meddling with people's hearts even after Ansem had forbidden him to.
But from what we saw, Xemnas didn't have Aqua in the room, just her armor. Unless Aqua was somewhere offscreen in the scene, which I find unlikely, because if the people at Square-Enix wanted Aqua in that scene, they'd have shown her wearing the armor with her face hidden behind the helmet, instead of just showing her empty armor lying on the floor.
Yet, notice how Aqua's Keyblade is lying next to the armor. Isn't it supposed to be impossible to take the keyblade from the Keyblade Master? we've seen it happen many times in the series, like Jack Sparrow trying to use Sora's keyblade with no luck, Roxas throwing away his keyblade, which just automatically appears again in his hand, and so forth. So perhaps Aqua is closer than I thought.
Or maybe, it is actually possible to wield the Keyblade with the bearer's permission. Captain Hook seemed to think so when he threatened Sora to "hand over the Keyblade and I'll spare your lives". Of course, Captain Hook isn't exactly the brightest character of the bunch, so maybe he shouldn't be taken seriously.
If the game is mainly about the story of Xehanort's origin and how he was responsible for the destruction of Radiant Garden, perhaps Maleficent will make a brief appearance near the end of the game, arriving at Hollow Bastion. Still, I doubt she'll have a mayor role.
Oh, and Maleficent didn't actually invade and take over Radiant Garden. She just arrived there after Xehanort had destroyed most things in it and made herself comfortable there. Leon and the others just assumed that she was the one responsible for the destruction.
Not necessary. Keep in mind that we have already encountered Xehanort's Heartless, and he didn't just act on instinct. Besides, Axel did comment that there had been two cases where people didn't lose sight of their intentions even after becoming Heartless (the cases of Xehanort and Sora). Perhaps there are actually more cases that he didn't know about. Perhaps some of Ansem's apprentices actually did keep their humanity after becoming aHeartless like Xehanort did.
Demyx. It took me AGES to beat him. Every time I was about to win, he called up these annoying water clones and I couldn't beat them all in 10 seconds. Why does the battle end when you fail to destroy the water clones, anyway. I mean, they don't even attack you.
Your theory isn't bad, but I doubt Xehanort was a chaser. If what you say is true, and Chasers are made of memories, they probably couldn't become Heartless.
