Kingdom Hearts II What Organization XIII Members made you feel the worst after seeing their death.
Axel was probably the worst, that about made me cry. Yeah, yeah, I know it was pretty cheesy, they could have made it a lot more drammatic, but still. He was one of my favorites, despite his noted cruelty. While he did some stupid things, he couldn't call himself Roxas's best friend for nothing.
I don't really think Demyx much deserved to die either. Admittedly, the first time I beat him (like on my thousandth try!) I was quite happy to see him go. But playing through it again I had to feel sorry for him. What did he do wrong? He didn't do anything Roxas didn't do...
Lexaeus (though in my busy-ness I haven't gotten to him in RE:Reverse, Rebirth) He really was just doing what he was told, and other than the fact that they were being unbelievably cruel to Riku, he didn't seem exceptionaly happy about it, not like Zexion and Vexen. They almost seemed to get enjoyment out of torturing Riku (Not that nobodies can really enjoy things... but you get the point.)
Vexen was undeniably a creeper. But being stabbed in the back by a comrade (even one as cool as Axel, and even if it did make for some cool graphics and a supreme example of Axel's powers) is no way to die. Just not cool. (Pun vaguely intended.)
As for the rest of the Organization, I don't feel too sorry for them. I tend to be fairly one-sided, and see from only the main characters point of view, I'll admit. Their goal was not bad, and I honestly wish they could have found a better way to go about it and succeeded. But Sora was really left with no choice but to destroy them when they were willing to put all the worlds at risk just to get back what, at least Xemnas and probably his five original followers, had willingly given up. I should probably feel more pity from them (and admittedly all of their deaths make me cringe a bit) but I don't. Especially Larxene, Zexion, Saix, and Xigbar. Those four just make my blood boil.
But then I go back and read posts of people who do like those characters and have a legitimate reason to feel sorry for them. And then I wonder... was their elimination necessary? Did they really have to die like that? And while maybe I don't necessarily feel sorry for them, I do kinda wish things maybe could have ended differently. -
Character 1: Sora (Any fifteen year old kid that can beat the crap out of a bunch of heartless adults without eating or sleeping for heaven only knows how long is pretty kick-butt. I mean, other than Axel he did beat them all!)
Character 2:Riku (Yeah, Sora beat all of the Organization and what not, but he would have been toast without Riku on the final Xemnas battle. And Riku's been beating him up since they were little kids! He taught Sora almost everything he knows!)
Character 3: Axel (1: He's awesome. 2:He's the only Organization member Sora didn't eliminate (Roxas being a bizarre sort of exception)3: Have we really seen everything he can do? I think not! He commaned waaaay more respect than the eigth member should, so he HAS to be very powerful. And he's Axel. What more do you need??)
Character 4:Roxas (Because while we're at this we need to throw him in there, and while I've never played KHIIFM+ I've heard the boss battle with him was something to see. If the battle at the beginning of the game with Axel was any indication of Roxas's powers, than I do not doubt he deserves to be here.)
Character 5: Xigbar (Xigbar was a freaking pain in the butt to battle. More than that, Xemnas and Marluxia were both actually fairly wimpy. I mean, yes, the Xemnas battle was difficult but if MARLY thought he could beat Xemnas easily with a FOURTEEN YEAR OLD KID than obviously Xemnas was only thought powerful because he was the founder. And Marluxia was just an irritating pink haired guy. So to Xigbar my final vote goes, may he be crushed utterly, though it will take forever.) -
I'm sure we all know Namine, and the fact that she's Kairi's nobody. I had always assumed she was born in the moment Kairi "lost" her heart and gave it to Sora.
However, I was talking to my boyfriend (also a KH fan) and he asked me how Namine could exist if Kairi's body was there the whole time. I was flipping around on http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page so I looked up the article on Namine. This is what it said reguarding her birth:
"Naminé was born when Sora stabbed himself with Ansem's artificial Keyblade in order to restore Kairi near the end of Kingdom Hearts. This made Naminé a very odd Nobody, born from Kairi's heart and Sora's body and soul. Kairi's own body never became a Nobody because her heart lacked darkness (since she was one of the Princesses of Heart), so her body and soul were never able to leave the Realm of Light and thus made it seem like Kairi was in a comatose state until she regained her heart. However, this means that Naminé was also born without Kairi's memories, only furthering her status as an unusual entity, and she and Kairi are incomplete without each other. And because of the fact that Naminé is formed from Sora's body, she has the power to manipulate his memories as well as the memories of those who are connected to him, prompting several others, even herself, to call her a "witch". She came into being at Castle Oblivion, found by the Organization XIII.
Ansem the Wise has stated in Report 9 of the Secret Ansem Reports that Naminé is not a true Nobody. It is unknown if this was his opinion (as Nobodies generally remember their past life) or a fact."
While at first I thougt this made sense, it was just not what I had heard before, after reading it over twice I had to wonder... if Namine was created from Sora's body and soul, than what was Roxas created from? You don't exactly have two bodies and souls lying around! And shouldn't that make Namine S O R A's nobody, then? I understand that she's connected to Sora, that makes sense, but how exactly was she born? Kairi's body, after all, was still there.
So my boyfriend and I have tossed around some ideas but not come to any satisfactory conclusion. How does Namine "exist"? When, exactly, was she born? And how was Kairi's body just laying around? Is this just a plot hole, or is there something we missed?
Anybody got any ideas? -
*laughs* Believe what you wish. For KH, at least, I think it's definately possible that it's Ven. I just hope Nomura will give us some more information soon. This lull feels never-ending.

Thanks for the welcome! :)
And good point about Mickey, He's powerful and knows a lot, but you're right, he's not psychic. The voice would have to be connected to Sora's heart.
I'm still not sure it's Ven though. We know he's connected to Sora, but we don't know how. We don't know why or even if he would be in Sora's heart. Nor do we have any sure proof that Roxas is Sora's memory of Ven.
Sora's situation as a heartless was unusual, making for an unusual nobody, whom we all know is Roxas. I'm not even sure where to continue on this train of thought, though, because it would take a lot of in depth looking at heartless and nobodies and what they are and why Sora and Roxas (and Kairi and Namine, though I'm not sure that plays into this conversation) are different than the usual cases. But as for Sora and Ven's hearts being merged together explaining it... I don't think so. Of course, I don't know any more than you do, you could be absolutely right. *shrugs* It'd be easier if we knew more about Ven.
Back to the Namine thing, I don't think she went into Roxas's heart at all. Roxas was in a part of a computer program this whole time, she'd just have to edit the program to get him to the place where he fought the Twillight Thorn and such. And she did hijack the program a number of other times, so it's not that far-fetched. But, and correct me if I'm wrong, didn't Roxas learn about the Keyblade, not through Namine, but through his dreams of Sora? Admittedly, Namine had something to do with it, but so did Axel. Technically, anyone that had access to the computer program Roxas was in could have been the voice he heard. But I won't deny that most of Namine's aide was her light.
All considered, nothing's really certain, but it's fun to speculate. -
Though only Japan has announced anything close to actual release dates (a vague "summer 08") I could have sworn I read somewhere that outside releases were planned...

In KH1 I think the voice that Sora hears is King Mickey. Why? Because he was involved from the start. And quite frankly, it sounds like something he would say. He would be knowledgable about the Keyblade, and also would probably know a way to communicate with Sora. As for Sora being the only one to hear the voice ever, in the time that I remember the voice speaking (and my memory is admittedly spotty) Sora was the only one around. Also, though I'm not entirely certain this counts as proof, but in a cutscene from KHFM Riku has a similar sort of voice expirience, which we later discover is King Mickey talking to him.
In KH2 I always thought the voice was Namine. She was sort of the one that took Roxas there in the first place, wasn't she? And she was there to pull him out of the darkness. If she wasn't the voice she had to have at least been watching. She was the one who explained a good deal of what was going on to him, or at least a good deal of anything that was explained to him. It always struck me that it was her.
That's not concrete proof though, and I'll agree, Sora and Ven are very much connected, and it very much must have something to do with Roxas, considering the look and dress nearly exactly alike. There wouldn't be anything... I don't know exactly how to say it... wrong, I guess (as in blatently disagreeing with the story-line or something Nomura's said) with Terra or Ven being the voice. It's not what I thought, but it's not a bad theory either.
Small thought, not sure if this makes sense or not, but in Nomura's mind, at least, were Terra or Ven even existant? Sure, because we never knew anything definate about who it was that could be how the story comes out, and that's all well and good, but is that really who it was originally? Nomura must have had someone in mind...
