I'm just dirt poor. All my old pens I used in college are finished so I resort to this.
Well, I think I've really gotten a handle on it though. People sometimes think my ink lines are CG. ^^ I guess that's a good sign. lol
lol. What I mean by ball point pens.. are basically your typical office BIC pens. ^^ I just ink REALLY carefully! D: And I also clean and scan at a high resolution to kill a lot of imperfections. ;)

Okay, I'll post what I have. I've been working on my FanFict (with drawing which I might TRY to make into a comic) and this project simultaniously.
Both are moving a bit slowly but I'll post the other chars. :)

I was just suggested purple hair and yellow eyes... since these guys have nothing to do with Ansem, I don't think it would be bad to use that. I like the blue hair too though...

Well, I'm still a long ways off from a lot of that amazing talent on DA but I'm getting there slowly. Just compare some of the art from a few years ago in my DA to now. I've gotten much better with time! O_o
A Whip. Unconventional I know, but his purpose isn't to test his adversary's strength. He tests their cunning & wit. The 3 main OCs are siblings and they have a funny "pun" tendency to relate to their opponents using an animal comparison.
Zato, the guy you see here, calls everyone by: Kitty, Kittten or Scaredy Cat. ^^
His sister Zira uses Mouse while the eldest brother Zero uses Dog.

You have no idea of the issues I had with the hair! I also made a 3/4 view so I had to figure out a lot of stuff for it. lol. My biggest fear was having it look like Axel's! D: But his hair won't be red... I need some color suggestions. >_>
Probably cause of the collar. I was scared to making him look too much like either axel (cause of the hair) or KH1 Cloud (cause of the clothes) but once the full body's out, you'll see he looks like neither. ^_^
Square is REALLY Good at choosing every sort of hair style imaginable... Making him look different wasn't easy. >>
Yup. I piercing. ^^ All my OC NPCs have some sort of piercing for some reason... I don't even have any facial piercings myself but that's just how they fell I guess. ^^
Thanks Kairi. ^^ I realize that I really like the KH style. Somehow it came really easily to me! O_o. I think it's cause I'm used to drawing both anime and Disney and the mouths in the KH are are all Disney. That gives the drawings a lot of character I find. ^^
I'd give more crit but most of what has already been said pretty much covers it all.
Still I guess I'll just add my words of encouragement and remind you that practice makes perfect. That's a fact.
Even if re-doing an image may never end up the same exactly, it's still good to re-touch & remake your work from time to time. When that happens you can actually start to see your growth and it's a moral booster since you can see how much you've improved from the innitial drawing. :)
Anyhoo, I'd practice drawing real people before getting into anime. You'll learn the proper structure of a human first and then you can play with manga style twisted and stretched anatomy. (I've actaully had a MUCH harder time playing with Kingdom Hearts anatomy then normal human anatomy. If you don't know the basics, progressing in styles becomes VERY hard.)
Wow... I totally lost track of this thread! It's all ballpoint pen and careful, patient inking. ^^ Actually, the first picture is nothing but a scan. ^_^
