You get Trial Symbols by completing Trial Missions (second option under Hologram Mission), you can get a maximum of three per mission depending on how well you perform (requirements differ from mission to mission).

You get Mission Crowns by coming in first place in multiplayer Mission Mode (requires at least one other player), and you can repeat the same missions to get more.

This code will let you obtain Mission Crowns even during solo Mission Mode play:

    9205800E 0000E588
    12058012 0000E3A0
    1205818E 0000E3A0
    D0000000 00000000

That's the only code I'm personally using since I don't have anyone to do multiplayer with. Just activate it and play Mission Mode like normal. You can just repeat easy missions and accumulate crowns pretty quickly.

It's "The Awakening of Sora", not Soul, whoever translated it as Soul did a bad job. The Japanese name is ソラの目覚め and panel icon is a silver crown.

Actually, I kinda doubt that the "gifts" (more like swag) will be figurines for a game not even released yet. The kinda swag they tend to give away is usually more like postcard booklets, phonestraps, or carrying cases.

And clawtooth35, it's Jump FESTA. F-E-S-T-A. Not Fiesta, not Fest. Festa. The event's been going on for years now, at least get the name right, people.

Hey, just a note, sage is not "anonymous" in Japanese.

Sage (pronounced "sa-geh") is short for sageru (下げる), which means to "sink", and is the opposite of age ("a-geh"), which is short for ageru (上げる) and means to "rise".

Age and sage are used on Japanese message boards, specifically 2ch, in order to make posts that either bump (age) or don't bump (sage) the thread. This is done by inputing either "age" or "sage" in the email form.

This is completely seperate from making a post anonymous, which is done by leaving the name form blank. Individual boards on 2ch, instead of using "anonymous", also use their own special nicknames.

For example, the gamerpg board (where the main KH threads are located) currently uses "名無しさん@お腹いっぱい。" (nanashi-san@onaka-ippai), which basically translates as "Mr.Nameless@full.belly".

So, yeah... There's your 2ch/Japanese BBS lingo lesson of the day.

Oh, and I believe this is the actual source of the video:

    http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm1321177

Nicovideo is gradually replacing youtube as the main place for Japanese users to upload videos. You need an account to view it, but I'm sure you can find a guide if you look around.

Anyway, at about 3:10, you can see the video. Poor quality, short, etc., but still, that's the source. It was pointed out by a certain "Mr.Nameless@full.belly" in the 2ch KH thread, poster #216. ^^

I guess nobody reads the threads here before they post.

It's the Famitsu mascot dressed up like Sora.

You're correct. Almost all of Famitsu's covers feature the mascot, frequently dressed up as a character from a new game.

    www.2ch.net

As you can see, there are tons of boards and threads. This wikipedia article would probably be helpful to read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2ch It also has a link to a somewhat outdated English navigation portal.

There are some general rules for 2ch... If you are new, you should lurk for half a year or longer before you ever post. You should always post in Japanese; if you don't understand Japanese, it would probably be best not to post at all (and don't bother using google translations to post, they will know, and probably just laugh at it). If you post something from 2ch up on a website, proper etiquette would be to credit the user who posted it. Since 2ch is anonymous, simply referring to the # or ID will suffice, such as, "Thanks to #124 from KH2@2ch", or something along those lines.

    Just a note...

Kouli didn't rip the images. Just like 99.99% of everything I've ever seen her post, she snagged them from the Japanese message board 2ch without crediting the original posters.

For those who are unaware, 2ch is Japan's biggest message board, and is where a large percentage of news on Japanese games comes from, especially Japanese TVCMs and magazine scans. Incidentally, since the scans often get snatched and stuck up on English websites with watermarks and no credit to the posters, the 2channelers don't have a very high opinion of English websites... and have a tendancy to go to great lengths to keep non-Japanese speaking people from getting things like videos and the like... I even remember seeing them calling KH Ultimania "kh2.co.unko (crap)" back when KH2 first came out.

    So, yeah, now you know.
