Kingdom Hearts Series

News covering the general Kingdom Hearts series, including merchandise and other miscellany.

Visitors to either Disneyland Resort in California or Disney World in Florida can now use a KH-themed filter with Snapchat, allowing you to take selfies with Sora, Riku, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy:

This cool Snapchat filter, which celebrates the recent release of 'Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMix', appears to only be for the two Disney Parks listed above for now, with no word on whether the other Disney Parks in the world will allow visitors to use this filter soon.
Today is March 28, 2017, which officially makes the 'Kingdom Hearts' series 15 years old. And to celebrate this milestone, director Tetsuya Nomura posted artwork of Sora in his KH3 attire on Twitter, thanking fans for 15 years of great memories:
Happy 15th anniversary Kingdom Hearts!
For those of you unaware of what Tsum Tsums are, they are a line of collectible stuffed toys based on Disney characters (including Marvel and Star Wars). If you've visited a Disney store recently, chances are you might've seen those toys (like the ones in the pic below).

Well, it looks like Disney's Tsum Tsum fad has invaded Kingdom Hearts, with a new update in the Japanese version of 'Kingdom Hearts Union X[cross]' featuring them (and will likely be included in the international version as well). Check out some pics of the Tsum Tsums in Union X[cross] below:

Whether or not this means we could see actual Kingdom Hearts themed Tsum Tsums at Disney stores in the near future remains to be seen.

Recently, members of KH13.com attended the first Western concert of the 'Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour-', and it's safe to say they had a blast. Despite the horrific attack in London earlier in the week, the show must go on, and (despite delays due to increased security) the show certainly went on. The tracks played were the same ones that were played in Japan, but Yoko Shimomura treated the audience to an encore performance of Fantasia alla Marcia, as well as signing autographs for fans after the show. Unfortunately, there was no new content/trailer during the show, so it appears it may be a while before we do get something new. Check out a few of the pictures below:

Seth Kearsley, the man known in the KH fandom as the guy who tried to make a Kingdom Hearts show more than a decade ago and tried to pitch the idea to Disney recently for a do-over, has stated on Twitter that, unfortunately, Disney isn't interested in doing a Kingdom Hearts show at this time. Seth's tweets can be read below:
