II.8 Final Chapter Prologue

According to the Japanese Playstation website, to celebrate Kingdom Hearts's 15 year anniversary, a limited edition Kingdom Hearts PlayStation 4 will be released on January 12th, 2017, the same day as 2.8's Japanese release.

This PS4 will cost 33,980 yen + tax for 500GB PS4 and 38,980 yen + tax for a 1TB PS4. Preorders start on December 9th and includes an executive PS4 top cover, an original theme, and an original design, and (of course) Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.

The "KINGDOM HEARTS 15th ANNIVERSARY" PS4® top cover will also be sold until December 22, 2016 for 3,000 yen.

The theme song of Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Utada Hikaru's Hikari (Ray Of Hope MIX) will be released on an EP for digital download from the Japanese Itunes store one day before the Japanese release of the game itself and will cost ¥750 (about $6.57)

The EP will include the following four tracks:

1. Hikari (Ray Of Hope MIX)
2. Simple And Clean (Ray of Hope MIX)
3. Hikari (P's CLUB MIX)
4. Simple And Clean (P's CLUB MIX)

The cover art (featured above) for the album will feature the artwork of Tetsuya Nomura, created back in 2014, as an 15th Anniversary gift for her cover album.

For the US, it is listed under Simple and Clean (Ray of Hope) Mix and costs $3.99.

Instead of making us wait till Jump Festa to see another trailer, Square-Enix went ahead and released the final trailer of 'Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue' for us to enjoy, and it sure is gorgeous:
In addition to the trailer, series director Tetsuya Nomura also confirmed on Twitter that more news will come tomorrow!

Releasing on December 15th, a little more than a month before the release of Kingdom Hearts 2.8, the game will be featured on the cover and have an article in Dengeki PlayStation. As seen above, the Kingdom Hearts series has been featured in Dengeki PlayStation countless times in the past.

Even though the promise of Kingdom Hearts III news has been pushed back along with the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 release date, it looks like we'll still be getting Kingdom Hearts news next month anyway! Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX will both be appearing at Jump Festa 2017 on December 17 and 18! While neither game will have demos or stage shows, they'll both be receiving new trailers!

Several new screenshots were also released for the games and can be viewed below.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will release on the PlayStation 4 on January 12 in Japan and January 24 in North America and Europe. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX will release on the PlayStation 4 on March 9 in Japan, March 28 in North America, and March 31 in Europe.
